First Place, Artificial Foliage, $30,000 to $40,000:

A Niagara Falls abandoned multi level mall was magnificently transformed by Niagara Community College into the Culi-nary Institute of Niagara Falls.

Kitchen, classrooms, restaurant and 5 story center atrium were enhanced with an assortment of specially designed arti-ficial trees, bushes, flowers and vines. The Tuscan theme was complimented with 10’+ Olive trees, grape ivy vines, rosemary and basil. The railings were graced with long pothos vines on all levels. The 2nd floor shelves donned planters with mixed foliage visible throughout the atri-um. The café wall was accented with plant portraits and a variety of bush and hanging succulents!!

The installation was required before con-struction was com-pleted. The plants in the interim were used for traffic pattern control and sectioning off safe areas.
