RT CHALLENGE

Our challenge now is not just to

maintain the high standards we have

already achieved, but to continue

improving and innovating into the

future. Fuelled by this spirit of inno-

vation, we will continue to achieve

the “impossible”as we develop air-

port facilities and technology that

the world has not yet seen.

AIRPORT OPERATION

Through the 2nd-Phase Grand Opening, the new Concourse was added to the existing Passenger Terminal, and

resident airlines were relocated with national flag carriers in the Passenger Terminal and foreign carriers in the

Concourse. Airline check-in counters have also been redeployed to maximize airport operational efficiency, with

Korean Air located in the east side of the Passenger Terminal, Asiana Airlines in the west side, and foreign airlines

in the center, thereby reducing passenger movement and time required for immigration processing.

Exporting Airport ”Soft Power” to the WorldHoning our accumulated expertise in the areas of airport construction and operation from the past twelve years, from

flawless opening to consecutive years of safe flight operations, Incheon Airport now boasts highly specialized and sys-

tematic knowhow ready for export to overseas airports. Incheon Airport made its successful debut in the world airport

market with a US$31.5 million order for airport operations support from Iraq’s Erbil Airport in February 2009. Also,

Incheon Airport keeps diversifyng its oversea business activities by purchasing a 10% stake in Khabarovsk airport of

Russia in 2011 and signing a Project Management Consultancy (PMC) with soekarno-Hatta International Airport of

Indonesia in 2013. with additional overseas airport development orders underway, we look ahead to become a

full-fledged global leader in the export of airport knowhow.

The Center of International Airport EducationDesignated by the ACI in May 2007 as the global education hub for its Northeast Asian member countries, Incheon

Airport has secured a position as a center of international airport education. In the future, Incheon Airport will develop

useful programs and provide high-quality education to representatives of foreign airports and related agencies,
