Year in ReviewYear in Review

It has been fi ve years since the passing of our founder Ned Fritz, and three since the inception of the Ned Fritz Society which was formed in his honor. Ned’s passion for

this organization and mission cannot be overstated, and that passion lives on through all of our supporters’ generosity. I would like to extend a special thank you to those individuals who have contributed so generously during the past year to become a part of the Ned Fritz Society. I invite all of you to join this dedicated community of conservationists in 2014.

Texas Land Conservancy has made a commitment to the people of Texas to protect their natural heritage forever. With your help, we are working towards a future for Texas that we all can enjoy.

The Ned Fritz SocietyTexas Land Conservancy was founded in 1982 by an intrepid Dallas a orney deeply commi ed to conserva on, Edward C. “Ned” Fritz. His passion and vision were instrumental in protec ng the Big Thicket Na onal Preserve, the fi rst of its kind, as well as tens of thousands of acres with Texas Land Conservancy. He was truly a voice for the voiceless in the Texas conserva on world.

We are honored by the legacy of Ned Fritz, which con nues to guide our work today. In his memory, we have established a giving society for the most prominent members of Texas Land Conservancy. This group, the Ned Fritz Society, will lead the way to a greener future for Texas.

Ned Fritz Society members, donors of $1,000 or more each year, gather annually at a memorable farm-to-plate dinner.

Ned cared deeply about Texas’ future. We hope you will join us in con nuing his legacy. To fi nd out more about the Ned Fritz Society and other ways to support Texas Land Conservancy, please visit our website or contact the TLC offi ce. We would love to hear from you.

* Landowners who conserve land with the TLC are asked to contribute to our Stewardship & Legal Defense Fund. The principal of this dedicated fund is protected by the board of directors and the income is directed towards the stewardship and maintenance of the proper es we protect. Because TLC has made a perpetual commitment to over 80,000 acres of land throughout the state, this funding source is vital to the future of our organiza on and to the Texans who have asked us to protect their land.
