Keynote Speaker: Terry Axelrod Terry Axelrod, founder and CEO of Benevon, has more than 30 years’ experience in the nonprofit field. She created the Benevon Model in 1996 after serving as the first development director at a private inner-city school. There she designed and implemented the fundraising program that yielded $7.2 million in two years and a significant endowment. Over the past 16 years, Benevon has trained more than 4,000 nonprofit teams to customize this

systematic process for building sustainable funding.

Terry has founded three nonprofit organizations in health care and affordable housing. She realized early in her career that the only path to sustainable funding was to treat donors the way you would treat a close friend or family member, systematically connect donors to the mission of the organization, then involve

and cultivate them until the were clearly ready to give.

Terry is the author of seven books and several DVDs, including her most recent book, The Benevon Model: A Step-by-Step Guide to Getting it Right. Terry’s passion and commitment to the possibility of sustainable funding for all nonprofits drive the

mission of Benevon and each of its programs.

This fast-paced keynote plenary address introduces you to a systemic model for building sustainable funding for your mission. Learn to leave a legacy of passionate lifelong individual donors as you tailor the Benevon Model to your organization. Participants are encouraged to bring other staff, board and volunteers to engage them in this practical and effective

approach.

Terry will address:

• An overview of the Benevon Model, an organic system for building sustainable funding for

the mission of your organization from multiple-year individual donors

• How to implement mission-focused, permission-based fundraising

• How to make your organization more visible in your community

• How to identify and personally cultivate individual donors who are passionate about your

mission
