Renato Ferraris, the nephew of

Attilio Ferraris IV

"Having known my uncle Attilio I can say with absolute certainty that he would be proud of his place in AS Roma's Hall of Fame, having been the club's first captain and first iconic player. As a boy I was lucky enough to enter the Campo Testaccio in the arms of Guido Masetti. Masetti said to

me back then that this way the crowd could see the Roma of today and the Roma of tomorrow. Today, July 22, 2013, his words have come true and

the link between the Roma of the Testaccio era – with uncle Attilio – and the Roma of today has been strengthened."

Giuseppe Giannini

"It's very flattering to be recognized and I'm delighted to accept. I'm really very proud. I'd like to thank everyone who voted for me, this is one of the best things to have ever happened to me. I always experienced everything

with Roma at 100 miles an hour. The good times and the bad, my goal against Foggia just like the penalty I missed in the derby: moments I

experienced first and foremost as a fan, not just a player. For me Roma was always more something in my heart than just a job."

Vincenzo Montella

"I'm very flattered to receive this important recognition, although it does feel strange to be entering the Hall of Fame at my age. It fills me with

pride to know that it was the fans who voted for me, the same fans who were at the Olimpico when we won the Scudetto. I'll never forget the

years I spent at Roma and all the great times I had with my team-mates."

Sebastiano Nela

"I'm honored and proud. Personally being inducted into the Hall of Fame is a triumph for me. I wasn't born in Rome but I'm an adopted Roman, from the day I began the first of my 12 seasons at the club. In this long period of my life the most enthralling times always coincided with defeats. We won very little and we could have achieved more, but it was during the tough

times that I witnessed displays of support which you won't find outside this city and this club. That's when you see how great the Giallorossi support is,

when you learn what it means to be at Roma."

The Vote

The results of the vote for the 2013 Class of the AS Roma Hall of Fame can be found in the table below. Votes were cast by both fans and the five members of the Commission.

Players received 0.5 points for every vote they received from a single member of the Commission.

The four ex-Roma stars who received the highest number of votes from Giallorossi fans via

www.asroma.it meanwhile picked up 1.0 point each.  Therefore each player could receive up to 3.5 points (in the first two years of the process, only Paulo Roberto Falcao – Class of 2012 – has achieved this).

In the event of a tie, as stipulated in the Hall of Fame guidelines, the player with the highest number of votes from the fans will prevail.
