Make Keppel Special (MKS) Foundation will be holding its first silent/live auction and fundraising dinner on April 21, 2012 at Glendale Elks. While we’ve held several silent auctions in the past, this is the first time we will host a special night out, off-campus for parents and school personnel to attend our silent and live auction and focus on raising funds that our school desperately needs. With the current budget cuts in this state, it is more important than ever to find ways to support our schools. Last year we made almost $15,000 at our silent auction at the Glenwood Block pARTy. This year our goal is $20,000! Make Keppel Special Foundation is responsible for providing K-5 students at Mark Keppel Visual and Performing Arts Magnet with programs, activities, and equipment that enhances their academic learning environment. Most of our money goes to support resource teachers at the school. MKS is a non-profit organization run by parents. It is qualified as 501c(3) tax exempt by the Internal Revenue Service. Our Tax ID# is 95-4317724. All money raised by MKS stays at the school and directly benefits each Keppel student. As Co-Chairs of the MKS Auction and Fundraiser Dinner, we are writing you to solicit a donation. It is through the generosity of businesses and individuals such as yourself that Mark Keppel Visual and Performing Arts Magnet is able to provide the added enrichment to the lives of today’s youth. This is also a great opportunity to promote your business Mark Keppel Visual and Performing Arts Magnet has over 700 families in attendance. All businesses who donate will be listed on a program posted online and distributed at the event, and if the value of your donation is $500 or more, we will prominently display your logo at the event. If you are able to contribute this year, please return the attached donation form along with your donation to: Make Keppel Special Foundation 730 Glenwood Road Glendale, CA 91202 Attn: Pam Wyroski/Pam Drake No donation is too small, and we find that the most successful donations often are experiences or services that can’t typically be bought, so feel free to be creative! All donations must be received by March 31, 2012 . As an alternative, if you would like to make a monetary donation to our organization, checks are to be made out to MKS. If you have any questions, or if you need your auction item to be picked up, please do not hesitate to call Pam Wyroski: 818-241-4962. Thank you for your consideration, we look forward to hearing from you. Sincerely, Pam Wyroski and Pam Drake MKS Silent Auction Co-Chairs
