When you purchase a rearm with the Wilson Combat or ScattergunTechnologies name on it, youre not

buying just another gun. All Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnologies rearms are custom built one at

a time to exacting specications by master craftsmen. Unlike some of our competitors who build factory

custom or semi-custom rearms, we have no production lines here at Wilson Combat / ScattergunTech-

nologies; we build nothing but custom handcrafted rearms. But what IS a custom rearm? What

makes it better than a quality production rearm?

To answer these questions, heres how WE build "custom" handcrafted rearms at Wilson Combat /

ScattergunTechnologies.

We start by using skilled craftsmen who are gun people. From Bill Wilson, company owner, and the other

artisans that design the quality components and decide on the specications for the various models we build

(with input from experts such as Rob Haught and members of the Law Enforcement and Military special

operations community), to our experienced test re technicians, Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnolo-

gies is fortunate to have some of the nest and most knowledgeable craftsmen in the rearms eld in its

employment. Our master craftsmen have as much as 32 years experience building quality custom rearms!

But even the most talented and knowledgeable craftsman cant build a quality product without top-quality

components. All Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnologies custom rearms begin life as the nestquality precision manufactured components. No expense is spared in producing the best parts possible

to build our custom rearms or to sell as components to our valued customers. All of our components are

100% inspected and thoroughly eld tested by knowledgeable and experienced shooters before being

used to build Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnologies custom rearms. As a further testament to the

quality of Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnologies components, they are sole sourced and used by

the US Border Patrol, FBI SWAT, US Military Special Operations community and numerous specialized law

enforcement units across the country.

So how do these talented craftsmen turn a box of top-quality components into a ne custom rearm worthy

of being marked Wilson Combat or ScattergunTechnologies? The most important thing we do is train

specialists. By this, we mean craftsmen who specialize in specic operations and perform them to perfec-tion. While the majority of our craftsmen are well-rounded and can do most operations required in creating

a ne custom rearm, they are masters of their own specialties.

For example: Jim Wilson, who has been with us for over 25 years, is a master at tting a 1911 slide to frame

tight, but not so tight that it might affect reliable function. Our 1911 barrels are t the same way; tight enough

that we can guarantee superb accuracy, yet with just enough clearance for absolute reliable functioning. In

other words, their years of valuable experience allow them to t a pistol up just right! The same holds true

for the craftsmen who create our combat-ready tactical ri es and shotguns.

Each custom rearm moves from bench to bench as each master craftsman performs his own specialized

magic. A custom gun is always built to the customers specications. First, a slide is selected and tested to

insure it is just right for the handgun frame. Once the material selection is complete, the slide is tted to the

frame with care and hand lapped to insure that each custom pistol is as perfect as it can possibly become.

The barrel t is critical in a 1911 because it has the greatest effect on both reliability and accuracy. The

barrel t in a true custom rearm has been performed by a Master Gunsmith and will lock up into the slide

just right. Only then can you expect optimal performance from your custom rearm. Once the custom gun is

built to the customers specications, it is then surface prepped by a master craftsman as well, to insure the

awless cosmetics Wilson guns have become famous for in the gun industry. It then goes through our own

in-house nishing operation for a custom Armor-Tuff corrosion resistant polymer nish. Each component

is carefully nished one at a time to ensure a quality nal product.

Next comes nal assembly, where all these custom t and nished quality components are nally put to-gether as a completed rearm. As with all operations, a specialized craftsman does this as well. This is

just the rst of several quality control checks. All Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnologies custom

rearms are inspected independently by technicians who are knowledgeable and experienced shooters.

Once the rearm is fully assembled and the initial QC checks are made, it moves to test re where it is

zeroed and accuracy conrmed, not just function red as many gun makers do. The test re process at

Wilson Combat is extensive to say the least. Our custom rearms are not just function red in a machine

like at an assembly line gun manufacturer. Our rearms are test red one at a time by an experienced test

re technician. Further, no less than three types of ammunition totaling at least 80 rounds are red through

each handgun to insure that it is extremely reliable, which is the rst thing a rearm must be. With all of our

handguns, the customer always receives a test re target to demonstrate their pistols accuracy potential.

After the thorough test re process, the custom rearm is sent to nal inspection. Here a craftsman with an

eye for extreme quality gives the rearm a nal once-over. Only after all this does a rearm earn the right

to be called Custom and wear the Wilson Combat / ScattergunTechnologies name!

The Ultralight Carry was designed from the beginning to be the ultimate full-size carry pistol. The foundation is a fully machined aluminum frame for reduced weight. When combinedwith the carry cuts, ball endmill cuts, round butt frame, concealment beavertail grip safety and hammer, the Ultralight Carry is over 1/2 pound lighter than a comparable steel frame pistol.Experts agree the ultimate carry pistol must be as light as possible while maintaining the shootability of a 5 pistol. ARMOR-TUFF Protective Firearms Finish was developed specifically for firearms use toprovide a non-reflective tactical surface finish with optimum corrosion protection, abrasionresistance and enhanced lubricity. The low curing temperature prevents parts damage orwarping during the finishing process. A firearm finished with ARMOR-TUFF has the most

durable, chemical and heat resistant, thermally cured firearm finish available.

Before a firearm is coated with ARMOR-TUFF the firearm is thoroughly sand blastedwith fine grit media, then carefully dehorned and every surface prepared by hand. Everycarbon steel firearm is phosphate parkerized before we apply the final finish to form abonding surface forARMOR-TUFF that increases durability and corrosion resistance.

A highly trained finish technician then sprays the ARMOR-TUFF coating on the firearmbefore it is thermally cured. After the firearm is re-assembled it is given a thoroughinspection to ensure the finish meets our highest standard of quality and ensure yourfirearms reliability.

AppearanceARMOR-TUFF has a very attractive, non-reflective matte surface finish that looks verysimilar to an ultra-fine sandblast blue job. ARMOR-TUFF is available in matte black, matteOD green, matte grey and flat dark earth. We can also do various combinations of thesecolors. Check our unique gallery for examples of different color combinations. ARMOR-TUFF can also be applied to Stainless Steel and anodized aluminum.

Corrosion Resistance

ARMOR-TUFF, when applied to parkerized carbon steel, will pass the test procedures forsalt water spray testing without corrosion for over 3000 hours! Properly ARMOR-TUFFcoated surfaces will not rust when subjected to normal firearm use.

Lubricity

ARMOR-TUFF provides excellent anti-friction characteristics over typical firearmsfinishes. We do, however, still recommend a quality lubricant like ULTIMA LUBE II be usedon contact surfaces.

Fluid Resistance

ARMOR-TUFF will meet or exceed 24-hour immersion requirements in the following fluids:aviation gasoline, hydraulic fluid, jet fuel, lubricating oils, paint removers, trichloroethylene,hydrochloric acids, hydrogen peroxide, gun powder solvents, common gun lubricants,strong bases, and numerous other chemicals.

Thermal Stability

ARMOR-TUFF will withstand exposure to temperature extremes of +1000 degrees F to-250 degrees F.

Thickness

ARMOR-TUFF has a nominal thickness of between .0003 and .0009 unless a thickercoating is desired, such as on high-wear areas like a pistol grip safety or frontstrap. Thethin coating characteristics of less than one thousandth of an inch allow easy re-assemblyof precision fitted parts.

Finish Quality

ARMOR-TUFF is applied at our finishing facility in Berryville, Arkansas, under the strictestquality control standards by Master finishing technicians and gunsmiths with years ofexperience.
