    Granville, NY Is a quaint community with manythings to offer.

    If you are a recreational enthusiast, we have two large parksfor games and activities or just for you to sit next to the riverand enjoy a picnic lunch. The Rail Trail is a beautiful, peacefulpath through woods and past beautiful farmland. The MettoweeRiver affords the angler in the family some great fishing accessspots.

    Indoor activities plentiful too. The Pember Library andMuseum is a great place to take the kids to experience naturalhistory. The museum showcases the history andexperiences of the areas ancestry in the quest to develop theslate industry. Insight is given to how the migrants came to behere, how they succeeded, how they failed and everything inbetween.     Granville is home to many civic organizations that make our

    community what it is. The Lions and Lioness clubs,the RotaryClub, VFW, American Legion, K of C, Chamber ofCommerce. Numerous churches, various fire companies,Rescue Squad and many other organizations are manned bycountless volunteers who give of themselves to the community.

    The Granville Police Benevolent Association operates aYouth Center for the area children to enjoy. For a nominal feechildren can attend dances on Friday and Saturday nights andthey also provide after school activities as well.Looking for a good meal? Well we have many well-established

    restaurants to satisfy your palate, many of which offer outdoorseating to enjoy the summer season. With so many options tochoose from, you will just have to make several visits to Granvilleto try them all!

    2012 Whipple City Festival. The Whipple City Festival has beensponsored and run by the Greater Greenwich Chamber of Commercefor 20 years this coming June. It has evolved into the premier springevent in Southern Washington County. Folks come to the beautifulvillage parks to enjoy quality musical entertainment, great food, thecarnival, craft fair and free horse & wagon rides. Annual favorites arethe great food selections and relaxing & visiting with friends and fam-ily in the parks. Dorr Park will hopefully be home to various animalexhibits, alpaca, emus and reindeer once again this year.Registrations forms for the 5 K Race, the Craft Fair and the Parade,along with the full schedule for the weekend can be found atwww.greenwichchamber.org.

    Also, our annual car show and Halloween parade have becomepopular events.

    In 1990 a group of dedicated businesses in the village of Greenwich

    formed and incorporated the Greater Greenwich Chamber ofCommerce, Inc.
