How to Register

On-Line Registration 1. In order to register through On-line registration, you will need a main contact client number, a family PIN number and a credit card. 2. Payments can be made with a Visa, Master Card or American Express

Touch-Tone Registration (As of August 2012, Touch-Tone will no longer be available.)

After calling Touch-Tone registration, (480) 503-6225, follow the recorded prompts to register for your selected classes. 3. Refund and Cancellation Information *Refund Information– Requests for refunds for camps must be received 7 days prior to camp start date. Unless otherwise noted in the program description. *Please call (480) 503-6200 for more information. The Town of Gilbert has the right to cancel any program due to insufficient enrollment. Early registration is encouraged to help prevent camp cancellation. If a camp is cancelled, participants will be notified one week prior to camp start date (unless unforeseen circumstances arise) and offered an alternative choice, if available. If no alternative is available, a full refund or credit will be issued. Refund checks require 2-3 weeks processing time.

A fun and active Basketball Clinic for boys and girls. Participants will work on the fundamentals of basketball: dribbling, passing, shooting, and

scrimmage against one another. Fun games will also be introduced to help enhance the learning skills. Participants need to wear tennis shoes and are

McQueen Park Activity Center

Join us for this amazing 4 week camp as we combine

dancing, gymnastics and cheer all in one. Your child will

have the opportunity to learn some amazing routines and

skills from talented instructors. This camp teaches

social interaction and coordination. Your child will have a

This three day camp will cover as many aspects of

the game as possible including all of the pre-shot

fundamentals; grip, aim, stance, posture and basic

swing. Chipping, pitching, putting and driver swing

instruction will follow. After a week of well

rounded instruction they will know how to practice

properly and be ready to tackle the golf course in

the future.

Freestone Recreation Center Kidz Kamp offers a well-rounded summer camp program with a variety of activities for your child to have an opportunity to participate in each week. Each session is 2 weeks long and you have the choice of choosing between the morning or afternoon session or extending the day with our other options. A new “theme” will be introduced each week to keep kids excited and entertained. Check out the following page for camp dates, themes, and activities.

THEME WEEK 1: WINTER WONDERLAND It might be summer in Arizona but we are cooling things off with some winter fun and games. Kids will make their own snowflakes and make ice sculptures. The forecast is showing snow flurries at the end of the week when kids will get to play in a large pile of icy cold snow.

THEME WEEK 2: GREAT OUTDOORS We are taking Kidz Kamp and teaching some good ol’ outdoor survival skills. Kids will learn to pitch a tent, learn camp fire building skills, and even take a “hike” around the Freestone Park. A guest speaker will also join us to talk about some of Arizona’s wildlife and bugs. Monday– Friday June 4-15 $94

THEME WEEK 1: LOST IN SPACE 3-2-1 Blast Off!!! As if all of the fun and games at Kidz Kamp isn’t enough we will be blasting off into even more excitement with space week. Kids will learn about the stars and constellations and experiment with launching rockets at the end of this fun filled week.

THEME WEEK 1: AMAZING RACE Mark, get set, go!! Kids will race around the world and compete in fun and entertaining games and challenges throughout the week. THEME WEEK 2: MYSTERY WEEK The kids had so much fun last year with that we had to bring it back for more mystery and mayhem. There is a mystery to solve, get on your best detective hat and join us for a week of mysteries, games and projects.

Enrolling your child in Kidz Kamp but the times don’t work with your schedule? If so, we have several options to help fit your schedule. Please note, kids under the age of 12 are not permitted to be in the building without adult supervision; they must be with a parent or guardian or enrolled in a program at that time. See below for options that may work best for you. Registration begins: April 17th

Kidz Kamp — Overtime Need help getting to work on time? We can help! Kidz Kamp Overtime allows you to add an extra hour to your Kidz Kamp session. Either from 8-9am or 4-5pm. Enrolled participants will be supervised in a safe area where they can play games during this time.

These camps focus on teaching children basic computer skills and concepts, basic programming, creative problem solving, concentration & perseverance, critical thinking, cooperation, confidence, designing, planning & organizing, teamwork, communication, and independent thinking. Learning the fun way!

ADVANCED BUILDING “SIMPLE & COMPLEX MACHINES” Advanced exploration of complex machines using LEGO™ Educational building systems. This class focuses on advanced building concepts: rack/pinion, transmission, differential gears, and investigate motorized machines. Turn the page to a new and exciting chapter of your child’s learning by enrolling them in one of our summer enrichment camps. They’ll have an opportunity to brush up on skills, meet new friends and have

some good, old fashion, summer fun! Start the new school year off right with a readiness for success! Camps are taught by highly quality instructors. Dates, camp codes and fees are listed on page 11.

Summer is a time for fun and exciting adventures. PEE WEE KAMP is designed with just this in mind! We’ll get your lil one movin’, groovin’ and grinnin’ in a safe, fun, nurturing

environment. Drop off your pee wee to participate in a gamut of age-appropriate activities such as learning centers, music & movement, arts & crafts, games, cooking and so much

more! Kampers will experience socialization, purposeful play and teamwork to improve their cognitive, emotional and physical wellbeing. Unique weekly themes are incorporated to keep the Kampers engaged and create the atmosphere of fun learning. Don’t miss out this summer,

Ages 5-7 Transitioning from kindergarten to first grade can be a daunting experience for many children. In this

classroom, children will be encouraged to continue refining their skills in a positive, nurturing environment. Focus will be on reinforcing phonics, reading, writing and math along with

incorporating a smidge of science, arts & crafts and sports to encompass a gamut of exciting opportunities. Kinderbridges will allow your child more time to grow and give them the confidence to succeed! Unique weekly themes are incorporated to keep the campers engaged and create the

atmosphere of fun learning.

Ages 6-8 This summer enrichment camp is designed for those trying to catch up or even get ahead of the curve

going into 2nd grade. It’s got just the right mix of reading, writing and math combined with science, sports and arts & crafts to strike just the right balance of work and play. We’re dedicated to build confi-

dence, improve motivation and refine concepts of shape, space, time, colors and numbers. We will practice these skills to help use them with ease. Unique weekly themes are incorporated to keep the

campers engaged and create the atmosphere of fun learning.

BE A REAL MOVIE STAR! Created by an experienced Hollywood director, Movie Star Camp® is for everyone, beginner or expert, who has ever wanted to act in movies. Each participant will

develop acting skills and receive a starring role in a family-friendly short film, then walk the red carpet for friends and family at a movie premiere! A DVD copy of the movie, ticket to the pre-miere, and "Movie Star Camp" T-shirt are also included in the price. Friday is a shooting day,

This camp is intended to teach boys and girls the fundamentals of soccer. Ball handling skills such as

kicking, passing and shooting will be learned during practice drills and game time. Good sportsmanship and teamwork are encouraged. Participants need to wear tennis shoes and

are encouraged to bring their own soccer ball and water bottle. Camp will be held at Freestone Park Soccer Fields.
