Hurricane Sandy & SHPC’sDisaster ResponseOur Disaster Response team lead,Tary Snyder, keeps us connected withPresbyterian Disaster Assistance(PDA), PCUSA’s national outreach.

PDA (www.presbyterianmission.org/ministries/pda/) isalready working with other national and interna-tional partners — Sandy also caused great damagein the Caribbean — and more details will be avail-able in time. Giving to PDA’s work is always wel-come. In the short term, PDA asks us all to pray:

Holy God, You are our comfort and strength in times ofsudden disaster, crisis, or chaos. By your Spirit, lift upthose who have fallen, sustain those who work to rescueor rebuild, and surround us now with your grace andpeace to face the challenges ahead.
