DELIVERY AND COLLECTION OF EXHIBITS IN ALL GRAIN & FODDER CLASSES

The Society will, as far as is practicable and convenient, pick up from the property of the exhibitor a MINIMUM SAMPLE OF 3 KG OR A 10 LITRE CONTAINER PER ENTRY for judging and display (for contact names refer below). UNDERWEIGHT ENTRIES MAY BE DISQUALIFIED.

The sample will be taken and tagged:

1. Direct from the header as a commercial sample or from a bulk of at least 5 tonnes for cereals, 3 tonnes for pulses and oil seeds by a member of the Grains & Fodder Committee, a Society representative or by the Grower.

2. Or a sample may be drawn at a receival grain site by a representative of that company, grower or carrier.

• Exhibitorsmustnominatetheclassentered.• A MINIMUM SAMPLE OF AT LEAST THREE KILOGRAMS OR A 10 LITRE CONTAINER PER

Failure to do either of the above will cause the RA&HStowithhold48.5%ofyourprizemoneyinaccordancewithAustraliantaxlegislation.

TheRA&HSisnotataxconsultantandthereforeassumes no liability for actions taken as a result oftheseguidelines.Inanyinstanceswherean entrant or sponsor is uncertain of the tax implications of their involvement, they should consult their own accountant or tax advisor.

DISEASE FREEShould any sample of grain be found to be infected with weevil or any contagious plant disease,itshallbedisqualifiedandremovedfromthe Showground.

CURRENT CROPAllexhibitsmustbepartofthecurrentseason’scrop, and must be the property of and grown by theexhibitor.Anyexhibitnotcomplyingwiththeseregulationswillbedisqualified.Exhibitorsinthissectionwillnotbeallowedtotakemorethanoneprizewiththesamevarietyofproduce in any one class.Iftestsshowthatanentryhasbeenmadeinthewrong class, the Society may transfer the exhibit to the correct class.Allgrain,otherthanthatenteredinthepreparedseed classes, which in the opinion of the Judges has been pickled, mill dressed or from which the brushisabsent,willbedisqualified.

Allwasteincludingliquidsmustbedisposedof responsibly. Storm drains must not be used for the disposal of any waste.

HAZARD MINIMISATIONAllareasmustbekeptinacleanandtidyorderwithclearlydefinedandavailableaccessandexitroutesatalltimes.Buildupofcombustible waste must be avoided.Caremustbetakentominimisetriphazardsand obstacles that people may walk into. Avoidlayingunprotectedcablesorpipesonorabove paths, walkways or roads.

HAZARDOUS MATERIALSTheRA&HSaretoadvisedofallhazardousmaterials that are to be brought onto the Showground.AppropriatewarningsignsandMaterial Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) will need to be provided before allowing these materials on site.

MEDIA COMMENTSAnypubliccommentonemergencies,incidents or other venue matters should onlycomefromtheRA&HS.ThekeymediaspokespersonfortheRA&HSistheMarketingManager.

DUTY OF CAREAllcompetitorshavea“DutyofCare”toavoid exposing themselves or other people to situations which could lead to injury. This “DutyofCare”extendstothepreventionofdamage to property.

LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY1. Release EntrytoandremainingontheShowgroundisentirelyattheriskoftheExhibitorandtothe maximum extent permitted by law, the ExhibitorreleasestheSociety(whichtermincludesinthisclausetheSociety’sofficers,employees, members and agents), from all claims and demands of every kind resulting from any accident, damage or injury occurring at the Showground, and without limitation,theExhibitoracknowledges:

(a) the Society has no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury to or caused byanyExhibit;

(b) the Society has no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury to or caused byanyExhibitor,hisorherfamily,inviteesandAgents;

(c) the Society has no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury to a Motor VehicleoranyofitscontentswhilstitislocatedontheShowground;and

(d) without limiting Regulations 1.1 (a) and 1.1 (b) above, the Society has no responsibility or liability for any loss, damage or injury resulting from the sale, treatment, failure to treat, destruction, disposal or other dealing withanyExhibit,orforloss,damageor injury to any personal belongings, equipmentorpropertybroughtontotheShowground.

2. Indemnity To the maximum extent permitted by law, theExhibitormustindemnifyandkeepindemnifiedtheSocietyanditsofficers,employees, members and agents from and against all actions, claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, expenses and liabilities includingwithoutlimitation,consequentiallossandlossofprofitsforwhichtheSociety is or may be or become liable in respect of or arising from:

(a) loss, damage or injury to any person in connectionwiththeExhibitortherelevantEvent;

(b) without limiting Regulation 2(a), loss, damageorinjurytoanyotherExhibitorExhibitor,hisorherfamily,invitees,Agents,ortothepropertyoftheSociety,or its members, or to the general public, caused or contributed to or by any act or omissionofanExhibitoftheExhibitororbytheExhibitor,hisorherfamily,inviteesorAgents;and

(c) without limiting Regulation 2(a), loss, damageorinjurytotheExhibit,ortheExhibitor,hisorherfamily,invitees,orAgentscausedorcontributedbyanactoromissionofanExhibitoftheExhibitororby the transportation, feeding or housing of anExhibitoftheExhibitor.

3. Removal from Showground Withoutprejudicetoanyotherprovision

in these Regulations, where the Society, itsofficers,employeesmembersoragentsremovesanExhibit,orcausesanExhibitto be removed from the Showground, theExhibitisremovedorcausedtobe removed entirely at the risk of the Exhibitor.ThepersonorpersonsremovingtheExhibitwillbedeemedtobetheagentoftheExhibitor,andhisorheractsandomissions will be deemed to be the acts andomissionsoftheExhibitor.

4. Insurance The Society will arrange compulsory Owner’sLiabilityinsurancecoverforallExhibitorsofExhibitsbeinganimals.TheExhibitorisboundbythetermsand conditions of this insurance and by StatutoryDutiesasdefinedundertheInsuranceContractsAct(1984).DetailsoftheCompulsoryOwner’sLiabilityinsurance are set out in the Relevant Schedule

5. Personal effects The Society has no responsibility or

liability for any loss or damage caused topersonalbelongings,equipmentorproperty which is brought onto the ShowgroundbyanExhibitor,hisorherfamily,inviteesorAgents.

EMERGENCY INFORMATIONEmergencyinformationandEmergencyAssemblyPointsforthevariousanimalpavilions and stables will be included with ExhibitorEntryDetailReturnsandNoticetoExhibitormailouts.Competitorsshouldbefamiliar with these plans.

FIRST AIDDuringtheRoyalAdelaideShow,StJohnAmbulanceprovidesFirstAidServicesbutitissuggested that competitors have a basic First Aidkitifminorinjuriesareapossibility.

RA&HS EMERGENCY FACILITIESFirefightingandotheremergencyequipmentmust not be removed or used for any other purpose.MissingorunserviceableequipmentshouldbereportedtotheVenueManagementOfficeimmediately.

SMOKINGTheRA&HSSmokingCodedoesnotpermitsmokinginsidebuildings,within10metresof a building entrance, around combustibles, during public performances or while handling hazardousmaterials.

TRAFFIC CONTROLTheRA&HSTrafficControlCodeimposesspeed restrictions within the Showground. For thedurationoftheRoyalAdelaideShowthespeedlimitis8kph.Theuseofvehiclesinsidethe Showground is closely managed during the RoyalAdelaideShow.ConditionsofentrywillbeprovidedwiththeissueofVehicleEntryPermits.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT1. Allextensioncordsandelectrical

appliances must be tested and tagged in accordance with current legislation as per AustralianStandards3760.

2. Power boards with overload protection can onlybeusedatthediscretionoftheVenueManager.

3. The use of double adaptors is strictly prohibited.

4. Appliancesandpowercablesmustnotbe used or laid through any area that may become wet.

5. Power cables must not be laid across walkways, paths, roads or any area where damage could occur to the cable.

6. Bar(resistance)heatersarestrictlyprohibited.

7. Lightsocketsmustnotbeusedforanyother purpose
