Open only to legal residents of the following counties in California:Ventura, Santa Barbara and Los Angeles Counties, who are 18 years of age or older as of date ofentry. Void wherever prohibited by law. Employees of Scripps Media, Inc dba Ventura CountyStar, 31st District Agricultural Association Ventura Fair (collectively, Sponsor) their respectiveaffiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and the immediate family members(spouse, mother, father, in-laws, grandmother, grandfather, brothers, sister, children andgrandchildren) and/or those living in the same household of each are not eligible. By participating,entrants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and the decisions of Sponsor.

TO ENTER:1) During 12:01 AM PST 7/22/2012 through 12:00 PM Noon PST 8/3/2012 (Entry Period), on a3x5 card, hand print your complete name, street address (no P.O. Boxes), city, state, zip code,

date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), plus daytime and evening telephone numbers. (If you do not have atelephone, state No Phone. Failure to comply with this or any other official rule will result indisqualification.)

2)During the Entry Period, obtain and complete an official entry form printed in the VenturaCounty Starbetween 7/22/2012 and 7/31/2012.

Mail your completed entry in a hand-addressed, business-size envelope (#10) with first-classpostage, to: Ventura County Star, Win Fair Tickets, PO Box 6007, Camarillo CA 93011. Entriesmay also be dropped off at Ventura County Star office, 550 Camarillo Center Drive, Camarillo, CA93010. All entries must be received by 12:00 PM Noon PST on 8/3/2012. Limit one entry perenvelope.

Limit one entry per person regardless of method of entry. No mechanically reproduced entries ofany kind permitted. Illegible and incomplete entries are void. Sponsor is not responsible for lost,late, mutilated,postage due, misdirected entries or entries not received. Entries become theproperty of Sponsor and will not be returned.

RANDOM DRAWING: Winner will be selected by random drawing on or about 12:01 PM NoonPST 8/3/2012 from all eligible entries received. Decisions of Sponsor are final on all matters.Winners will be notified by phone and/or email. Limit one prize per person/household address.Odds of winning will depend upon the number of eligible entries received.

PRIZE::(1) One First Prize - winner will receive (4) four tickets to the 2012 Ventura County Fairtaking place at the Ventura County Fairgrounds, 10 West Harbor Bldv. 8/1/2012 thru 8/12/2012

(ARV: $48/set). Passes are valid for entrance to Ventura County Fair and all other expensesincurred are not included. Tickets are not valid for events requiring separate admission. Subjectto all terms, conditions and restrictions on tickets or imposed by issuer. Prizes consist of onlythose items specifically listed as part of the prize. No substitution or transfer/assignment of prizeby winners permitted. If by reason of printing or other error, more prizes are claimed than thenumber of prizes set forth in these Official Rules, a random drawing will be held to award theadvertised number of prizes in the relevant category. Under no circumstances will more than theadvertised number of prizes be awarded.

All federal, state and local taxes are the sole responsibility of winners. All federal, state and locallaws and regulations apply. Potential winners (or parent/legal guardian if potential winner is aminor in his/her state of residence) may be required to sign and return an Affidavit ofEligibility/Release of Liability/Prize Acceptance Form, which may require social security number,postmarked within 10 days of the date on notification materials. Noncompliance within this timeperiod and/or return of any prize/prize notification as undeliverable may result in disqualificationand an alternate potential winner may be selected by random draw from all remaining eligibleentries. All winners must produce picture or some other form of proper identification to claim anyprize. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute any prize with prize of equal or greater value.

Acceptance of any prize constitutes permission to the Sponsor to use winners name, voice,statements, image and likeness for purposes of advertising and trade, in any medium, withoutfurther compensation, unless prohibited by law. Submission of contact information in connectionwith this Sweepstakes (whether or not required), including mailing address, phone number, andemail address, during entry constitutes permission for Sponsor to add entrant to Sponsorscustomer database and to contact entrant in the future for promotional and other reasons. Youmay opt-out of receiving such communications as set forth in Sponsors Privacy Policy (located at

www.vcstar.com ) or as provided within any such marketing materials (e.g., using theUnsubscribe feature provided in the footer of Sponsors emails).

TERMS: Sponsor not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing, the offeringor the announcement of any prize or in the administration of the promotion, whether caused bycomputer, technical or human error. Winners assume all liability and agree to hold Sponsorharmless for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in thispromotion or use or redemption of any prize. Sponsor is not responsible for late, lost, damaged,incomplete, illegible, faulty, or incorrect transmissions, incorrect announcements of any kind,technical hardware or software failures of any kind, any damage to any person's computer relatedto or resulting from participating in the online portion of the promotion, lost or unavailable networkconnections, or failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed computer transmission that may limit ausers ability to participate in the sweepstakes whether caused by computer, technical or human

error. All terms of promotion shall be construed according to, and any disputes shall be subject to,the laws of the State of California. Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the program forany reason, including but not limited to, if fraud, misconduct or technical failures destroy theintegrity of the promotion; or if a computer virus, bug, wireless failure, or other technical problemcorrupts the administration, security, or proper administration of the promotion as determined bySponsor, in its sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify, freeze or prohibit theparticipation of an individual if fraud or tampering is suspected, or if the individual fails to complywith any requirement of participation or with any provision in these Official Rules. Any attempt toundermine the operation of this promotion is a violation of criminal & civil laws. Sponsor reservesthe right to disqualify and/or seek damages from any individual making any such attempts to thefull extent permitted by law.
