MORGAN MURPHYHEAD COACHEUREKA ‘05FOURTH SEASON

Morgan Murphy, a 2005 graduate and three-year student-athlete at Eureka College, will enter his fourth season as the golf head coach

of the Red Devils in 2012. A native of Lincoln, Ill., Murphy has coached fi ve Eureka golfers to All-St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic

Conference honors in his fi rst three seasons.

In Murphy’s debut season as coach in 2009, the Red Devils earned a runner-up team fi nish at the SLIAC Championship and also

claimed the team title at the St. Francis Invitational.

Prior to his graduation, Murphy was a two-year member of the Eureka golf team and earned All-Northern Illinois-Iowa Conference

accolades in 2004. Murphy was also a three-year member of the Eureka football team and twice earned All-Illini-Badger Football

Conference accolades as the Red Devils’ center. He has since returned to the program as an assistant coach the previous two

seasons, directing the Eureka offensive line and special teams.

Murphy graduated from Eureka in 2005 and also owns a master’s degree in special education from the University of Phoenix.
