DesignCode is a Barcelona-based industrial design brand under Creative Director, Hiroshi Tsunoda. The brand aims to create simply sensational design objects that can be adapted to the creativity of their users.

Our main goal is to make good design more accessible to the general public. Through smart and original designs, DesignCode strives to simplify people’s day-to-day life by offering functional yet attractive products.

Environmental conservation is a major issue for DesignCode. We choose to use recyclable and eco-friendly materials for both our designs and packaging.

Tobo design process started from the observation of a badly resolved aesthetically practice: using toilet paper napkin as a handkerchief or outside their usual context. The presence of toilet paper on a table or desk is not attractive, because of this it was key to get the elegance of something a priori is not.

Why not give toilet paper other uses? It is cost effective and green!

El proceso de diseño de Tobo partió de la observación de una práctica estéticamente mal resuelta: emplear el papel higiénico como pañuelo o servilleta fuera de su contexto habitual. La presencia del papel higiénico en una mesa o un escritorio no es atractiva, por este motivo se busca conseguir la elegancia en algo que a priori no lo es.

¿Por qué no dar al papel higiénico otros usos? ¡Es más económico y más green!

Nona has been designed as a gift. A gift to make to others or to oneself. Its surprising packaging which hides the colored part of the lamp and all its components, transforms this piece into a gift that doesn’t need to be wrapped.

Their shapes suggest one of a panettone cake. Its design achieves a surprising play on light and shadows with organic and geometric patterns. Its base is available in 8 different colors. Nona is a light box, a white retro LOOXPLQDWHG�YROXPH�WKDW��GXH�WR�WKH�UHÀHFWLRQV�RQ�LWV�EDVH��UDGLDWHV�VOLJKWO\�tinted light shines. A complex development to achieve a simple result, ultimately, an exercise in pure design.

As of the 1st of September, the production of traditional incandescent light bulbs has ceased in EU nations.
