Barnard Governor State Fire Marshal WOMAN CHARGED WITH ARSON OF DWELLING CHARLES COUNTY, MD (July 26, 2012) – Deputy State Fire Marshals served a criminal summons to a Waldorf woman today for intentionally setting multiple fires inside her home. The incident originally occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 6, 2012. Charles County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to 2219 Newburgh Court in Waldorf, to check the welfare of the resident and upon finding evidence of burned areas inside the home, made notification to the Office of the State Fire Marshal. Investigators determined Litany Marie Price (36) was responsible for igniting several fires throughout her and her husband’s home and extinguishing them shortly thereafter. Damage from the fires was estimated at $500. Price was transported to Civista Medical Center for evaluation. Price has been charged with Arson 1 st Degree. If convicted of the charge, she faces a penalty of up to 30 years imprisonment and/or $50,000 in fines. ### Media contact: Bruce D. CHARLES COUNTY, MD (July 26, 2012) – Deputy State Fire Marshals

served a criminal summons to a Waldorf woman today for intentionally setting multiple

The incident originally occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 6, 2012.
