    New York, NY, United States

I like very much Maurizio Cattelan's quote and I

like even more his work Bidibidobidiboo. The

squirrel committing suicide is really a perfectrepresentation of a lot of things happening now.

Reading the newspaper I am really impressed by

all these people committing suicide. Because of

work, because of the lack of work, because of a

lot of various reasons. In Greece compared to lastyear, they have an impressive 40% increase (on

suicides). I guess Italy is not much better. Some

other cheerful images of Maurizio Cattelan at:

    it is wrong.

    A Library

The reason we went to see Toyo Ito's library at

Tama Fine Art University was because ofAlessandro Scandurra. I would have lived without,

but he (as well as Rachaporn Choochuey) really

    wanted to go.

They were right. It is one of the finest building ofIto-san. Much more fascinating than the Sendai

Mediatheque or other very famous buildings. A

small but fantastic piece of architecture. Way

beyond Louis Kahn (who was already perfect).

Here an article on dezeen where you get all the

info needed about the library: http://www.dezeen.com/.../tama-art-university-library-by.../

"...Mi sono impegnata, ho fatto carriera, ho avuto

cinque minuti di soddisfazione." (read on this

    morning newspaper)

    Shinjuku Station

    Something Like Mantegna's

    Christ, but Here Is Shinjuku

-a lonely (but very stylish and in some extent very

sleeping) homeless gent around Shinjuku Station-

In this trip to Tokyo, the real big change since ten

years ago has to do with homeless.

By then, homeless people had their blue tent

towns in lots of places. They were in Ueno park,

around Shinjuku, along the river. Now there

aren't anymore tents (or, if there are, they are

    well hidden).

Japanese economy didn't recover since then.

Where are the homeless? Where they stay? Who

    pushed them out?

    MM1 Pero

A couple of weeks ago I went to Pero to see a

small exhibition by Joy Holland. There was this

scale model for a publicbuilding/space/environment to be done in April,

really really nice. Very simple. A space defined by

modules. Very pinky, very beautiful. Now the

exhibition is over, more images of ms Holland

    Capsule Hotel in Tokyo

The last night in Tokyo, with Alessandro Scandurra

we stayed at a capsule hotel in Shinjuku area. A

experience. The capsules, the public bath,

wearing the japanese pijama and all the other

endless parts of a truly fascinating ritual. If you go

to Tokyo you shouldn't miss it. More images of our

    special exploration at: http://www.facebook.

Only when he left, I was told he was Giorgio

Corsetti, a superhero of Italian indipendent &

experimental theatre. Very nice to be ignorant in

several fields, because I appreciate things more

    and better

Here the link with some images to his version of

Franz Kafka's America, a truly stunning play: http:
