The City of Kirkland uncorks its signa-ture summer festi-

val, Kirkland Uncorked, July 15-17 in Marina Park on the shores of Lake Washington.

The event celebrates the best of Washington’s art, food and wine with activities and exhibits throughout Kirkland’s pictur-esque waterfront and downtown.

The Tasting Garden offers guests the op-portunity to taste from more than 60 Washington wines, sample regional cuisine from Kirkland-area restaurants and be entertained by the North-west’s favorite bands on the main stage.

Grilling demonstra-tions and the anticipated annual grill-off with Washington’s top chefs take place on the beach throughout the weekend.

Winemakers and winery liaisons will be on hand to answer questions

and provide tast-ing tips to guide guests through the collection of Washington

wines. Kirkland Un-

Whether it’s in the air, on the grill, or on the canvas, guests can experi-ence a spectrum of art at Kirkland Uncorked, a festival of art, food and wine on the waterfront July 15-17 at Marina Park in Kirkland.

The Kirkland Uncorked Promenade, presented by Bruce Titus Eastside Subaru, is a mecca for the arts during this three-day festival. Activities include:

• Artist Lane curated by Kirkland Arts Center: The Kirk-land Uncorked Prome-nade will be alive with art

Rocking Doggie Treasure Hunt and more during the free Go Dog, Go! Kirkland Canine Festival, which will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 24 at Crestwoods Park.

Other activities dur-ing the event include a Canine Costume Con-test from 10:30-10:45 a.m., sponsored by Little Monarch Studios; Best Duo or Look Alike (child and dog costume contest from 10:45-11 a.m.; Em-erald City K-9 Freestyle Dancers from 11-11:30 a.m.; and Musical Sits Game from 11:30 a.m. to noon, sponsored by Dogs-a-Jaimmin’.

Canines will also have the opportunity to strut their stuff dur-

ing DMarie’s Boutique’s Small Dog Fashion Show at noon; Happy Hound Hotel’s Highest Jumper Contest at 12:20 p.m.; and Woody’s Friends Got Talent (junior and adult handler contests) at 1 p.m., sponsored by the Woodmark Hotel.

Concessions will be available on site and chil-dren’s activities will also be available.

The event is presented by Kirkland Dog Off-Leash Group, the City of Kirkland, and Kirkland Downtown Association. Event proceeds will help provide dog waste bags in Kirkland City Parks and will help fund a future dog park.

Go! festival will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 24 at Crestwoods Park and is presented by KDOG.

The Kirkland Council authorized KDOG to build a public dog

park on city property near the intersection of 113th Avenue
