Our topic –experiencing elderly life Our topic –experiencing elderly life

　 This universal design workshop will be held in Chang Gung University and Chang Gung Health and Culture Village, which is the most well-developed elderly nursing home in Taiwan. Based on universal design principles, we will introduce existing legislation, standards and design trends to the workshop trainees. A two-day elderly life experience trip is included in this workshop to give trainees a better understanding of the differences in design for elders. Additionally, the trainees will use elderly simulation equipment to better appreciate their physical limitations. Trainees will be asked to create and design a product for elderly users with new materials sponsored by our collaborator .
