Since 2007 Keynote User Group opened and shared theknowledge how to visualize your idea via various ways. First of all,we have built the online education channel based onpodcasting,Youtube,and etc. We created the educationalcontents for free on the web. Through this experience we couldfully understand ‘Open and Share’ which TED and TEDTalks try.

TEDxMyeongDong isbased on a community which calls Keynote UserGroup. Keynote UserGroup open and share theknowledge how tovisualize your idea.

Korea has been rapidly developed since 1960. And there is no

country like this. We call this ‘The miracle of Hanriver’ By the way,it caused a side effect in country. Korea is too centuralized inSeoul, capital of Korea. So there is a big gap between Seoul andother provinces in educational and cultural things. Additionallymany Korean people are passive to open and share theirknowledge. So when we wanted to research visualization throughthe community activities, there were few people to share theirknowledge. Therefore we opened our knowledg at rst, weopened a regular presentation party which is a place that anyonecan say their idea. And we recorded that and uploaded it to theweb for free to share. Because there are needs from otherprovinces.

We want to change allKorean to have a mind toopen and share theknowledge.

The interesting things that we saw were many old people to cometo learn how to visualize their ideas. So we taught them at theofine meeting and workshop. But, the problem was they used toeasily forgot it. So we wanted to nd a way to help them. And theweb video is the way. So we launched many podcasting channelsto open and share knowledgies how to visualize their ideathrough presentation.

because we know that theweb video is the mostpowerful way to shareknowledge to anyone andanywhere.

If you visualize your idea, Youridea will become realized.The strength of Korea is the state of the art on the speed of technologyadoption. We have the fastest Internet connection. Even President Barack

Obama recently mentioned. And nowadays what we see in Korea is thefastest adoption of smartphones. Many analyst expected that almost a half of Korean population will use a smartphone in this year. So we think that the webvideo is the best way to spread out the knowledge. Especially podcasting is thebest way, because it works on both 3G and Wi-Fi.

TEDxMyeongDong has built a bigpipe to spread out TED and TEDx.

As a TEDx ambassador for Korea, TEDxMyeongDong met many potential TEDxorganizers and during the meeting what we felt through the conversation is becomingTEDx organizer is easy and hard. TEDx is a free license to easily get. But, if they don’tunderstand the soul of TED and TEDx, it will be too hard to manage it. We always advisedthem to have the mind ‘Dream Big’ and enjoy all the process of organizing TEDx event.

TEDx creates TEDx events.

When TEDxMyeongDong did a joint event with TEDxSookmyung, we met a middle schoolstudent who wanted to host TEDxYouth event in Korea. And we decided to advise her to openthe rst TEDxYouth event in Korea. This is usually happened through TEDx event. When we didthe rst TEDxChange special event, we could met a student from Catholic university. And he saidlike below.
