Salt Co. Art Show 2011 Entry Form Read the information below and fill out the accompanying form to enter the 2011 Salt Co. Art Show. The Art Show is open to any high school student. Each student may enter up to 7 pieces for the show. If there are more entries than can be displayed, a critic will select the best work entered to be displayed. Deadlines: All entry forms are due to the office of Wawasee Community Bible Church (attn. Josh) by Monday, April 11 by 5:00 PM, and all art work is due at the church by Wednesday, April 13 by 5:00 PM. You must submit the completed entry form (page 2) and attached labels (page 3) to the back of each piece of artwork. Work submitted for the show will be available for pick-up on Monday, April 18 and must be picked up by Wednesday, April 20. Requirements: It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that all artwork submitted be matted and/or framed and ready for display. Pieces that are not matted and/or framed are submitted with the understanding that there will be greater potential for damage of the artwork. Each work MUST also have a label attached to the back (found on page 3). There is no limit with regard to the date the artwork was created. Disciplines (Categories): In our inaugural year of the show, we will be soliciting entries in 5 disciplines. Please note that many media types could fall under one discipline. For example, watercolor (not watercolor pencil), oil, and acrylic works would all fall under the discipline of painting. Graphite, charcoal, pencil, watercolor pencil would all come under the discipline of drawing. (And so on…) The five disciplines accepted are as follows: A. Painting B. Drawing and Printmaking C. Photography D. Graphic Design and Illustration E. 3-Dimensional (sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, etc.) Prizes: Prizes will be awarded on Friday, April 16. The prizes will be awarded as follows: 1. Best of Category – These awards will be decided by the show’s critic. 2. Best of Show – This award will be decided by the show’s critic. 3. People’s Choice Award – This award will be given to the piece which receives the most votes from show attendees.
