The dam of 038X is a very productive 7 year old that does a great job every year.We are even more excited about the mating of Astro (due 2-13-12). Our Astro calves aresome of our best in 2011. 038X ranks in the top 25% of the breed for WW, YW whilemaintaining a great carcass value of $20.02. 038X was a class winner this summer at theTwister Classic and was recently named Reserve Champion Gelbvieh Female at theKansas Junior Livestock Show.

• SCCB Yip 17Y is sired by the college’s selection from Benoit Angus. E&B 891 wasselected for his moderate frame and exceptional dimension of muscle and total volume. He transcends this to his calves as you will see on 17Y. She is a full figured 25% Balancerwith tons of capacity stacked with an expressive yet feminine muscle pattern. Her dam,166M was raised at SCC and has held her own in a competitive herd with rigorousmanagement. We had this heifer on display at Husker Harvest Days and she met withmuch approval. We hope you approve as well. Juniors, take note of the age that placesthis heifer into a smaller division.

• SCCB Yip 28Y is sired by the college’s pick from Cranview Gelbvieh’s sire offering. Her sire W24 is an own son of Buddy Boy out of the famed Annie 828H dam madefamous at TJB Gelbvieh. Annie never misses and the genetics did pass on to this greatprospect out of a young Echo dam. Her grand-dam, PMG 10J is the dam of SCCB Nikkiof whom swept the show season for Dromgooles in 2004 and 2005. Look for 28Y tocombine the best of the Gelbvieh bloodlines into a package with performance, maternalstyle and efficiency. We believe this to be one of the top prospects from our spring calvingherd. Juniors take note, 28Y will be in a smaller division due to her May 17 birthdate.
