It is with great anticipation and excitement that I welcome you to the 38th annualGrand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show. This year, as in the past,we will host the most spectacular Morgan Horses from around the country introducingyou to the Best of the Best Morgans representing the pinnacle of hard work, training, and dedication to the breed.
It is a pleasure for me to be back in Oklahoma once again. The fairgrounds havecontinually improved each year to showcase our great Morgans The new lighting systemfrom last year in the Coliseum will once again enhance and thrill everyone as the World
Champions make their victory pass. The security is still the top goal for the fairgrounds and we will continually monitor the situation. In an effort
to limit theft and enhance safety, the fairgrounds have added several surveillance cameras that can be viewed fromthe on-site patrol cars. They have also changed and limited the exits and entrances to limit access and egresswithout compromising traffic or safety. Please remember to keep your valuables with you or have them storedsafely where would-be thieves will not view you while you store them, such as putting valuables in the trunk ofyour vehicles.
The fairgrounds and show committee continue to work tirelessly to bring you the Greatest Morgan HorseShow in the Country. If you have a new idea or want to see something added or changed please do not hesitate tolet us know. We always welcome your input and continually strive to improve on every aspect of the show.
Enjoy the atmosphere, renew old friendships, support the vendors and make new memories as you chooseyour favorites. Let the show begin!
Sincerely,Fred Nava, Show Manager
SH O W MA N A G E R S GR E E T I N G
Hello everyone! On behalf of the AMHA Youth Council, I would like to extend to you a warm welcome to the 2011 Grand National & World Championship Morgan Horse Show! Whether youre a veteran or a rst time visitor to the show, the AMHA youth have a way for you to be involved. I am so excited to announce that this year we will be holding our rst Youth Judging Workshop and Educational Tours program. The judging workshop on Friday is a fun, less formal version of our previous judging contest for AMHA Youth members to sharpen up their judging skills and be able to hear opinions from licensed judges. The educational tours on Wednesday and Thursday are a great way to learn about the Morgan horse while catching a glimpse of each arena and meeting judges and trainers. These tours are designed to introduce local schools, groups, and clubs to our amazing Morgan breed in a fun and educational way. This year also marks our third annual Justin Time for a Cure fundraiser to benet the Shirley Bowman Nutritional Clinic in OKC. Last year we raised $2,187.82 and this year our goal is to double that by raising over $4,000. Help us reach this goal by sporting your best lavender outts on Friday and donating to a great cause! It is always exciting to follow our Youth of the Year contest as we watch the top competitors from across the country compete for the title of AMHA Youth of the Year. As always, we will wrap the week up with our Youth Council meeting and Awards Brunch on Saturday morning to celebrate our youth members. I am so excited to see old friends and meet new faces and I hope you enjoy the activities that the AMHA Youth have planned. I wish you all an amazing week and good luck!
