Who are the Lake County Captains?The Lake County Captains are a Minor League Baseball team owned by two
local families, The Carfagna Family and The Murphy Family. The families arelife-long Clevelanders and huge supporters of the Lake County community.
The Captains have a player development contract with the Cleveland Indians
who are responsible for providing the ballplayers and training staff.
The Indians organization features five (5) Minor League Teams:

Akron Aeros Double-AKinston Indians Advanced-ALake County Captains Single-AMahoning Valley Scrappers Short-Season Single-A

Captains Charities
Captains Charities is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization whose mission is toprovide support to organizations that enhance the quality of life for children, thedisabled, the elderly, and retired residents in Northeast Ohio
Each year fundraisers for Captains Charities include a 5K race at Classic Parkwhich is supported by Lake Health, the News-HeraldHigh School Baseball
Classic, game-worn jersey auctions and a golf outing Captains Charities has donated money to numerous organizations throughout
Northeast Ohio such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, United Way of Lake County andseveral youth baseball leagues and senior organizations
