Each day, more than 1,000 women die of complications from pregnancy or childbirth. 99 percent of these deaths occur in the developing world. Your gift gives mothers a chance to turn tears into triumphs and will support:

With funding from you, at-risk mothers are not

alone. In the Dominican Republic, we pair young

mothers with a community mentor to guide them

during and after their pregnancy. The young

mothers receive:

• support at the maternity hospital and

throughout each baby’s first year.
