Ground Service

Regional Transportation District (RTD)

The RTD FasTracks Program is a $6.9 billion, 12-year program building 122 miles of new commuter rail and light rail, 18 miles of bus rapid transit, 21,000 new parking spaces at rail and bus stations, and will provide expanded bus service through Metro Denver. In 2010, the RTD FasTracks Gold Line project was approved by the Federal Transit Administration. The 11.2 mile long Gold Line Corridor is proposed to run along the existing railroad route from Denver’s Union Station to neighboring communities, passing through Arvada with three stations planned in Arvada: near Sheridan Boulevard; Olde Town Arvada; and at I-70 and Kipling. The Gold Line Corridor is one of two corridors that are a part of public-private partnership. Under this partnership, RTD has contracted with a team, referred to as the Denver Transit Constructors, to design, build, operate, and maintain the Gold Line Corridor and the East Corridor out to DIA.

Jefferson Parkway

The planned Jefferson Parkway, when completed, will for the first time allow the Denver Metropolitan beltway to operate as a complete highway transportation system. Visit www.jppha.org for more information.

DIA is one of the world’s most modern and efficient airports. The $4.2 billion facility encompasses 53 square miles and is the only major U.S. airport built in the past 25 years. Air Service

RTD provides bus service throughout the Denver metro area with 75 Park-n-Ride facilities. The A-line provides a non-stop hourly public shuttle to DIA from Arvada, partially funded by RTD.

Transportation

Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA)

RMMA is Denver’s premier corporate reliever, situated between downtown Denver and Boulder on U.S. Interstate 36. RMMA offers an Instrument Landing System and user-free designated Customs Office available 24 hours a day.

Denver Transit Constructors will begin construction of the Gold Line Corridor in 2012.

The Arvada Center is proud to have won nine Colorado Theater Guild Henry Awards in 2010, including Best Musical third year in a row for Miss Saigon.
