Application Guide for Entry

1. Opening Purpose

The fair is held to recognize the importance of intellectual properties of the 21st

century as well as to cope with internationalization and the cyber era we are living

in today. Accordingly, Cyber International Genius Inventor Fair has opened its

doors where both text & visual documents of inventions submitted online are

examined, evaluated and awarded to establish appearance of its novel idea on the

international stage of invention-oriented culture within the global village.

◦ To exercise and revitalize new inventions in our daily life and to contribute to the

knowledge industry society by performing global information exchange of the latest ideas

of inventions within the cyber space.

◦ To cultivate new human resources from current & future generations by internationally

interacting with inventors around the world and to exchange each others' information

world-wide and strengthen network.

1. Intellectual Property (Patent, Utility Model, Design) application or registration's

2. No Application or Registration: Idea blueprint or invention image picture of

one's own creation.

4. Awarding Plan

< Panel of Judges >

◦ Sponsored Countries' co-chairman of organizing committee & their

recommended personnel

◦ Senior inventors who have been awarded in international invention exhibitions

of from more than two countries.

◦ University or College professors & professionals of relevant faculties.

◦ Domestic & Foreign Patent lawyers & attorneys

<Evaluation Criteria>

A. Method of Examination: Without the actual inventions or exhibition hall, Evaluation is

based on the applied documents' blueprint, drawing, pictures and its explanations. The evaluation

will exclude judge's examining subjectivity and maximize objectivity of the documents.

B. Standard of Examination: Highest weight of mark will be placed on "idea". The invention's

novelty, technology, practicality, marketability will be assessed to complete the entire evaluation.

C. Disqualification:

(a) Based on prior technology search, invention copied off from others' idea will be disqualified

from the examination.

(b) Deprived inventions of the copied model of others' will be permanently eliminated to ever

qualify for CIGIF event.

8. Instruction for participation ◦ Applicant’s patent, utility model, design should be applied or registered, and those inventions

possible to disorder public morale or to damage public hygiene can be excluded in the

examination

◦ Entry form is never returned, in case of not paying entry fee, the invention applied may be

excluded in the examination

◦ Organizer does not bear responsibility for the accidents caused by the mistake happened in

filling out an entry form.

◦ The content of classification posted in the catalog is as same as the classification expressed in

an entry form, and organizer does not bear responsibility caused by mistakes in writing
