Pageant Rules1. In accordance with the directors of the Miss Georgia Peanut Pageant and the Miss Georgia

Sweet Potato Pageant, we will no longer allow any queen to hold any of these titles in the sameyear. Appearances for the Cotton, Peanut and Sweet Potato pageants overlap, so in fairness tothe individual pageants and to ensure each pageant has queens to represent them, we havedetermined that it would be best to have separate queens for each pageant. This is also ofbenefit to our queens because they will no longer have to decide which pageant they willrepresent at the various functions.

2. Contestant numbers will be assigned in reverse order. The first application in will be the last

contestant out.3. Contestants will compete in the age division according to the contestants age the day of the

pageant.4. No cameras or video cameras allowed. We will have a photographer and videographer.5. Anyone acting in a disorderly manner or displaying conduct relating to poor sportsmanship will

be disqualified without a refund.6. No refunds unless the pageant should be cancelled.7. Entry fees and wallet head shot photo must accompany application.8. Contestants will be scored a 1 to 10 on personality, beauty, poise, gown, and overall appearance9. Adults escorting a child on stage must dress appropriately. Judges will be asked to deduct

points from child scores if the adult is dressed inappropriately.

10. There will be no practice and the contestants will walk the basic T. See the chart above.11. Tiny, Little, & Petite will have an on stage question that will be based on information contained in

their application. This question will be asked on the X next to the podium.12. Queens will receive cash award at the end of their reign provided they have fulfilled their

obligations.13. There are 3 parades that queens will need to ride the float in and they are: Peter Pan Parade in

Sylvester on October 15, 2011 at 10 AM; Sweet Potato Parade in Ocilla on October 29, 2011 at11 AM and the Tifton Hometown Holidays Parade on December 3, 2011 at 5PM.

14. The director will email each contestant a letter after the deadline giving the final details of thepageant. Please make sure you have entered your correct email address on the application.

15. There will be a $45.00 fee for all returned checks.

16. Make sure you include a wallet head shot photo for the program book or email tomary@chickashaofgeorgia.com.

Make checks payable to Miss Cotton Pageant, include a wallet head shot photo and mail with

completed application to 1411 Rutland Road, Tifton, Georgia 31793

By participating in this pageant, I release The Miss Cotton & the Miss Georgia Cotton Scholarship

Pageant and Director from any injury, loss or theft sustained, or resulting from, my participation in

this pageant.
