A Message from the Principal & Chairman of the Board

!

Dear Friends of Bishop Machebeuf High School,

As we reflect on the events of the 2010-2011 school year, we are energized by the tremendous activity that has taken place in the multiple areas of our academic community of faith!" Bishop Machebeuf High School continues to be a nurturing community that reinforces a family environment as we strive to form the hearts, minds and souls of our students in the Living Tradition of the Catholic Church and the Gospels of Jesus Christ." Each year we are humbled by the opportunity to write directly to you, our stakeholders, in order that we might share with you the wonderful successes that have been attained and milestones that have been met as we prepare students for a future in a world where so much is changing so quickly.

This year, our students and teachers are enjoying the experience of working with a total of nine SmartBoards in student classrooms where both the teaching and learning experience has been significantly enhanced due to the generosity of our donors." During last year’s Spring fund raiser, The Wild West Buffalo Ball, benefactors contributed invaluable resources that allowed the administration to equip every full-time teacher with a new laptop computer that works directly with this new SmartBoard technology." We continue to witness tremendous growth in our students as they successfully navigate an academically rigorous curriculum that has seen 100% of our graduates gaining admission to colleges and universities nationwide for the past two years in a row!"

In terms of continuing to serve students from all walks of life, this year the efforts from our benefactors’ generosity towards the Bishop Machebeuf High School Building on a Tradition of Excellence Capital Campaign, has enabled School administration to continue to focus on growing the school’s Scholarship Endowment." Bishop Machebeuf is a school that is committed to serving families and students who pursue authentic Catholic education, especially when parents work to prayerfully discern a sacrificial investment in their children’s faith formation and the future of the Catholic Church." This year we serve students from more than 60 different zip codes and ten different countries." With its variety of student representation, Bishop Machebeuf High School does not attempt to be all things to all people, but rather, one thing to many different kinds of people –we are true to the Catholic faith in coming to intimately know Jesus Christ.

It is with great humility and gratitude that we extend to you as our community of stakeholders, benefactors and families our personal and sincere gratitude for your sacrificial support of our efforts in forming young people of faith." Without your continued generosity and responsible stewardship, we would not be able to successfully prepare our students for the future that awaits them." This future will demand of them an awareness of their connection as an individual to the human family through Jesus Christ." With this awareness, our students become prepared to enter into authentic relationships with one another, as well as, with those they will encounter beyond high school." They are prepared to successfully negotiate an exponentially more technological world in a manner that reflects the competence, conscience and compassion that lives in the great tradition of Bishop Machebeuf High School.

In Christ,

!
