D. Replacement of H

III. Parking Regulations
On-campus and com
muting students m
ay park their vehicles in designated lots only. All parking lot perm
it regulations are in effect from
2 a.m. to 4 p.m
. Monday through Friday during
the calendar year unless otherwise posted. There w

een 2 a.m. and 7 a.m
. except for resident lots w
ith a valid permit. University perm
its must be
properly displayed on vehicles by 7 a.m. on the first day of
regular classes.

11. The senior officer parking permit is available to all
senior officers. This permit gives senior officers
parking privileges in all campus parking lots except
metered parking lot 15 and the Bovee University
Center circle drive.

hours a day, seven days a week.
B. Closing of Parking AreasThe university reserves the right to tem
porarily close any parking area for a special event, construction, etc.

cars parked in university parking lots.
IV. Visitors
1. Visitors are required to register their vehicles with
CMU Police Parking Services. First-tim

U Police Parking Services Office w
ithin 24 hours.

62, 63, 64, 65, 67 and 70 without a visitor perm

e events, a fee may be assessed for parking in

B. Revocation of PrivilegesParking privileges m

2. Lending a registered automobile to an ineligible person
or registering an automobile for an ineligible person.
3. Use of unauthorized parking permits.
C. Towing and Booting

D. Appeal Guidelines
1. Initial contact: Upon being notified by a citizen that he or she w
ants to appeal a parking ticket, the CMU
Police Parking Services Office staff will advise the
subject that the ticket must be appealed w
ithin 60 days from
date of ticket and that the ticket must
be paid upon submission of the appeal form
to the parking services office. Parking services personnel w
ill provide the individual w
ith an appeal form.
2. Formal appeal: Upon receipt of the w
ritten appeal and paym
ent for the parking ticket, the CMU Police
Parking Services Office staff will place the appeal in
the appeal review file. The paym
ent will be held by
the CMU Police Parking Services Office staff until the
appeal is reviewed and a decision is m
ade to accept or deny the appeal.
3. Initial review: The service officer w
ill review all
appeals and gather any necessary information in order
to make a decision to accept or deny the appeal.
The appeal either will be accepted and the m
oney returned to the person m
aking the appeal or it will be
denied and the money w
ill be applied to the parking violation fine.

4. Initial decision: The adjudicated appeal will be
returned to the CMU Police Parking Services Office
manager for processing the paym
ent if the appeal is denied or returning the paym
ent to the appealing party if the appeal is accepted.
5. The person who m
ade the appeal will be notified by
the CMU Police Parking Services Office staff as to w
hat the decision w
as concerning the appeal. If the person w
hose appeal was denied w
ishes to discuss the appeal further w
ith the service officer, an appointment

ith the service officer.
6. Administrative review
: If the appeal was denied
and the party wishes to appeal the initial decision,
an appointment m
ay be made w
ith the CMU Police
Parking Services Office Manager for consideration
of the appeal. The office manager shall consider the
circumstances surrounding the violation and m
ay intervene in this process as needed.
7. Isabella County Trial Court: The parking ticket may
be forwarded to the Isabella County Trial Court for
adjudication through a civil infraction.

A. Reticketing times
The times for reticketing vehicles parked in violation at the
same location are as follow
