Softest Damper Rates: Our damper rates are the softest in the indus-try and do the most effective job in preventing destructive vibratory torque from being transmitted through the powertrain.

Premium Grade Friction Facings: Our proprietary friction facing mate-rial maximizes torque capacity, lowers wear rates and smoothes clutch engagement.

Fifth Rivet: The utilization of a fifth rivet ensures that the clutch fac-ing won’t lift in high stress and heat situations, therefore eliminating clutch release problems.

Our heavy-duty clutch program provides complete coverage and interchangeability to Eaton clutches.

Twin XTend Self-AdjustThe Twin XTend was designed to deliver the lowest operating cost-per-mile. With our proprietary self-adjust technology, no adjustments are ever needed. Pedal effort is kept consistently low, and constant clamp load prevents slippage even under the roughest conditions.

SACHS Manual-AdjustOur manual-adjust Clutches don’t just offer easy pedal effort for opera-tors. They also utilize the same vibration-reducing technology available on our Twin XTend to mitigate damaging vibratory torque from being transmitted through the drivetrain.

(Standard on both self- and manual-adjust)

Adjustment Ring Sealant: The application of a special sealant protects the adjust-ing ring mechanism from contaminants, dirt intrusion and worn facing material.

Open Architecture Design: The open design directs worn friction-facing mate-rial and ingested dirt or contaminants away from the adjustment mechanism, thus elim-inating interference with its functionality.

Diaphragm Spring: Versus coil springs, the diaphragm spring design increases the life of the clutch by giving uniform plate pressure and enhances driver comfort with an easy pedal ef-fort.

Supersized Bearing Housing Wear Pad: Inhibits wear-out of the bearing housing pads at release fork contact points, preventing premature failure of the release bearing.

Integrated Bearing and Bearing Pad Lubrication System: The bearing and bearing wear pad are lubricated via channels connected to the grease fitting. With only one point of lubrication, maintenance time is reduced.

Patented Controlled Center Plate: A simple and robust mechanism, the patented plate enables drag-free clutch re-lease and smooth engagement without vulnerability to system vibration or shock loads.

Determine clutch diameter

Heavy-duty clutches commonly come in two sizes, 15.5” and 14” diameters.

Determine critical fit dimensions and performance specifications

Spline diameter/number of splines: All SACHS clutches are 2” diameter with 10 teeth.

Flywheel bore opening: Must provide clearance for clutch disc springs. For SACHS clutches, this is 10.25” for 7 springs and 7.5” for 6 springs.

Engine torque rating: Clutch rating must equal or exceed engine peak torque rating.
