Acadia has been carefully designed and equipped to maximize your control in all driving situations. A commanding seating position and outstanding sightlines assure a clear view of the road ahead. Solar-Ray® tinted glass and available heated exterior rear-view mirrors enhance your vision in varying weather conditions. You’ll also notice that the round analogue gauges are legible at a glance, and that every switch and control is carefully positioned for intuitive use. For an even higher level of control, Acadia offers a whole array of available high-tech equipment, such as a Rearview Camera System, ultrasonic rear parking assist and Head-Up Display (HUD) instrumentation that signifi cantly lessens your need to take your eyes off the road. It all pays off in a real sense of control when you’re behind the wheel.

Acadia’s available Rearview Camera System helps you back up in greater safety. With the transmission in ‘Reverse’, it automatically displays an image of the area directly behind the vehicle in the rear-view mirror or the DVD navigation screen, when so equipped.

All Acadia 2nd-row seats incorporate a SmartSlide feature that allows them to be moved forward with one hand for easy access to the 3rd-row seat. As the seatback slides further forward, the rear of the seat cushion automatically moves up and forward to maximize space.

3.6L V6 VVT ENGINE Thanks to high-tech features like Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and Direct Injection, this state-of-the-art 3.6-litre V6 generates 288 horsepower and provides excellent performance, even when you’re carrying a full load of passengers and cargo. Fuel consumption is rated at 12.7 L/100 km (city) and 8.4 L/100 km (highway).**

6-SPEED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Acadia’s standard 6-speed automatic transmission helps make the most of the available power. It also includes the added convenience of tap-up/tap-down shift control, which allows you to shift up or down a gear simply by pressing a button on the shift lever.

FULL-TIME ALL-WHEEL DRIVE (AWD) When traction deteriorates, Acadia’s available full-time AWD system automatically adjusts torque distribution to each of the 4 wheels to make the most of the available grip and help keep you moving.

BODY-FRAME INTEGRAL ARCHITECTURE Compared with SUVs that use separate ladder frames, Acadia’s advanced body-frame integral architecture provides a lower step-in height, more refi ned, car-like ride and handling and reduced overall vehicle weight for improved fuel effi ciency.

GM OIL LIFE MONITORING SYSTEM A computer-based system assesses engine oil condition and optimizes oil change intervals based on vehicle operating conditions. The benefi ts include reduced oil change frequency, lower overall operating costs and many environmental benefi ts.

TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM Acadia’s standard tire pressure monitoring system constantly checks the infl ation of each tire (excluding the spare) and alerts you via a message in the Driver Information Centre any time it senses that a tire requires attention.

HIGH-STRENGTH STEELUltra-high-strength steel – 4 times stronger than regular carbon steel – is used extensively for primary load paths in the Acadia body-frame architecture.
