FRCOG BID H-5

New in FY18: Please note that there is new section for this bid for aluminum/steel box culverts. Two towns have indicated that they may need these, but we will need to develop a specification. Please be as descriptive as possible of what you may need.

ALSO, in order to estimate your needs for culvert, please note that since culvert pipe comes in 20 foot lengths, please indicate the Number of 20ft lengths you need and the Number of Couplings you need instead of the total number of feet as we have done it in the past. This will make the quantities easier for me to determine.

SERVICE BIDS H8 – H21

WE WILL CONTRACT WITH THE TWO LOWEST QUALIFIED BIDDERS FOR EACH OF THESE CONTRACTS TO ASSURE COMPLETION OF WORK. Because of this, we will not be requiring Payment Bonds in advance. IF YOU ESTIMATE YOU ARE GOING TO DO MORE THAN $25,000 WORTH OF PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION for a single project, by law you should request your own 50% payment bond at the time of the Notice to Proceed. This will be specified in the contract. I will send instructions out when we make our awards.

This would not apply to Catch Basin cleaning, but to all the other contracts under the Service Bids section. Catch basin cleaning is not construction.

FRCOG BID H-8

Catch Basin Cleaning, Equipment & Services Rental - By the Hour

Estimated number of hours needed for basic cleaning and jetting.

Estimated number of hours needed for line foaming.

Estimated number of hours needed __________ for lateral cleaning.

Estimated number of hours needed for sewer pipe cleaning.

Comments ___________________________________________________________________________

__________________________________________________________________________________________

Our low bidder last year was distressed that towns did not return calls about scheduling work. Please let me know in the Comments section if you ever used the new bidder, TRITON STORMWATER, and if you were satisfied. They never sent me a quarterly report, so I think no one may have used them.
