Murray, Sr. and his wife, Norene Murray that catered to the textile industry since the early 1980’s . Rochelle and Ernest Murray , livi ng in Anderson, SC at the time of Ernest’s parents death, with Rochelle’s entrepreneurial desires having long been looking for a business to start and Ernest working in a great career wit h Michelin, NA, a decision was made to take the inheritance and re- tool the existing business concept in 2004 by opening a design/build facility in Anderson, SC. Rochelle then made the key decision to bring in private, silent investors, and invest all profit back into the company as a part of a long term business plan that has allowed the company to grow into the extremely customer accommodating 27,000 square foot facility in Piedmont, SC, just five miles from Greenville, SC. This UL508A- certified facility allows the flexibility needed to ac commodate custom- engineered aut omation, instrumentation and electrical solutions as well as on-site commissioning and simulation before shipment, customer and end customer inspections and formal Factory Acceptance Testing for most every industrial and municipal application that can be t hought of . Murray Controls is made up of a team of the Sout heast’s most skilled hands - on engineers, technicians, panel builder craftsmen & craftswomen, and electricians. These resources have all been recruited from the excellent industrial companies that have realized the need to reduce the indirect la bor in engineering and in- house, high- level automation maintenance support personnel in order to keep short and long term bottom line profits high as well as maintain the flexibility for man power reductions if t he need arises such as the case in the current two year recession.
