Board of Director meetings are held at First Citi-zens Bank Conference Room, 109 N. Franklin Street, Madison, at 8:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted.

Welcome to your WRCC and the Sep-tember issue of The Western Flyer.

Fall is in the air and it’s that time of year.... FESTIVALS! Your WRCC will be actively participating in all three town festivals this year. The Mayodan Home-coming Festival on Saturday, September 12th in Downtown Mayodan; The Stoneville Rotary Fall Festival on Saturday, Sep-tember 26th in Stoneville and the Madison Heritage Festival on Saturday, October 3rd in downtown Madison.

All of these events will have great food, entertainment and family fun! I encourage you to attend, participate and to show your appreciation to the great organizations that plan and present these wonderful events. We are truly blessed to have individuals who dedicate their time and energies to building and strengthening our communities.

Also, be sure to stop by the WRCC tent at each of these events to say ‘hello’ and to enter our building raffle. We’ll be giving away the House of Stars Utility building at the Madison Heritage Festival on October 3rd!

New Members:

It is always exciting to introduce addi-tions to our membership. Join me in wel-coming our newest WRCC member…

Heather Welch withJust In Time Janitorial Services, Inc

Heather and her group pride themselves on what they do best – servicing you. Each account is treated as if it were their own home or business. With high attention to detail, reliability and responsiveness, they provide complete cleaning services.

They are available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to provide immediate response to your needs and emergencies, day or night. Contact them at 336-791-7737 or on the web at www.justintime5.com.

Also, a personal thanks to all of our current WRCC members who have renewed their memberships this past month. We ap-preciate your continued membership. As a non-profit, our future depends upon your support of WRCC!

Future Items:

We’ve settled on the details for our Membership Drive. Any NEW chamber member that signs up during the remainder of 2009 and pays their full membership dues will cover their 2010 dues as well. It’s basi-cally buy twelve months, gets four months free! We felt that folks who sign-up at the end of the year may not fully receive the benefits of membership in WRCC. This way they have a full 12+ months to grow their business! It’s a great time to become a new WRCC member so make sure you refer us to your business associates who are not

currently members!

Ongoing Items:

Don’t forget our WRCC CHAMBER RAFFLE. Thanks to everyone who has purchased tickets! A big thanks to the folks at House of Stars, for their donation of a 10’x12’ utility building. This is a major fundraiser for the chamber and tickets ($5 each or a book of 5 for $20) are available at the chamber office as well as select member businesses. If your business would like to sell tickets, please drop by the chamber of-fice for details. Also, as mentioned above, we will be selling tickets at all three town festivals this year, so stop buy and support your WRCC!

WRCC, Members Helping Others is an opportunity for our members who provide services, to assist those organizations in our community who are tall on needs but short on funds. Clubs, churches, libraries and other not-for-profit businesses are eligible. If you, or your company, is a service provider and would like to join the list of participat-ing members, please contact the chamber office. Also, if your organization is in need of services, please let us know as well.

Coffee Reminder:

Be sure to join us for our next WRCC Coffee event on Thursday, September 17th at Rockingham County Library in Mayodan. Our recent coffee at Aaron’ Sales & Lease, had an outstanding turnout and we genuinely thank all who attended.

I encourage you each to invite two guests to all of our WRCC events. A fellow chamber member who doesn’t regularly at-tend and a non-member who you would like to see join our local WRCC!

Let us know how we can help your business grow!

Warmest regards,Gary Corns, Executive DirectorWestern Rockingham Chamber of Commerce - WRCC
