2009 RPC CAF experience

We did a very good exercise at the end of 2009– 2 shifters + 1 shift leader + Experts:

• Costantini/Ocampo/Carillo/Cimmino/Lomidze/Tupputi/Trentadue

– Mandate: run “quality/validation” by hands and fast feedback to P5 made by shifters+shift leader using “instructions”• PA, DQM online/offline and Noise• DCS offline ? Configuration ? Masked strips ?• “basic” analysis to produce plots and result

– Good results but: tools and instructions were still under development, too many tools to use and not many experts in shift2/3/10

• For the 2010 manpower I would like to simplify the present schema and maximize the CAF efficiency and results

2010 CAF proposal

• Mandate: run “quality/validation” and fast feedback to P5

• Improve Run Quality certification:– Merging tools (DQM and PA) and include more

from Reco if we need– Stable procedure for the noise and DCS info !

• Have more expert at CAF (training)• Do we need shifter ? In the more wide sense
