Infinity Bible Code Introduction

A man by the name of Al Neal claims to have independently found a relationship in the Bible. His finding relates the Gematria value of a word or phrase to a chapter in the Bible that in turn uses this word or phrase quite frequently. Mapping the process:

Shown above, the Gemetria value for "TIROSH" (הֽד), which means "new wine", is 916. This particular value lands in the 5th chapter of Zechariah (modern order of books). Since the Bible (ELS) codes use the original order of the books of the Bible (Tanakh), one would think that the "infinity code" effect would not be present in books whose order had been shifted when the selection of the Biblical cannon was made. The next slide shows the detailed calculations.

We select 911 from the "Chapter Tally" column since this is the closest number that is less than the gemetria total of the key-word (i.e. 916). Once this number is subtracted from the key-word gemetria total, that will tell us the chapter in the next row's book of the Bible to look in.

916 (Key-word gemetria value) -911 (closest lower value in table) = 5

Therefore the book and chapter we should look in for the key-word "new-wine" is Zechariah chapter 5.

As you can see, there is no mention of "new wine" in chapter 5 and hence no indication of the existence of the alleged infinity code. Now; let's check the original order of the books of the Bible to see if by using the corrected order we can prove the existence / non-existence of the alleged infinity code. This time 916 lands us in the 52nd chapter of Chronicles; which corresponds to II Chronicles chapter 23.

Zechariah 5 "Then I turned , and lifted up mine eyes, and looked , and behold a flying roll. And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered , I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits. Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it. I will bring it forth , saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof. Then the angel that talked with me went forth , and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth . And I said , What is it? And he said , This is an ephah that goeth forth . He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah. And he said , This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof. Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked , and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven. Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah? Infinity Code (Tanakh) Chapter vs. Book Guide

We select 864 from the "Chapter Tally" column since this is the closest number that is less than the gemetria total of the key-word. Once this number is subtracted from the key-word gemetria total, the result will tell us the chapter in the next row's book of the Bible to look in.

916 (Key-word gemetria value) -864 (closest lower value in table) = 52 - 29(Chapters in I Chronicles) = 23

In the Tanakh 1st & 2nd Chronicles are combined into one book = Chronicles.

Therefore the book and chapter we should look in for the key-word "new-wine" is II Chronicles chapter 23.


II Chronicles 23 "And in the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and took the captains of hundreds, Azariah the son of Jeroham, and Ishmael the son of Jehohanan, and Azariah the son of Obed, and Maaseiah the son of Adaiah, and Elishaphat the son of Zichri, into covenant with him. Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges : and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said , Slay her not in the house of the LORD. So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there. And Jehoiada made a covenant between him, and between all the people, and between the king, that they should be the LORD'S people. Then all the people went to the house of Baal, and brake it down , and brake his altars and his images in pieces , and slew Mattan the priest of Baal before the altars. Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the priests the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David. And he set the porters at the gates of the house of the LORD, that none which was unclean in any thing should enter in . And he took the captains of hundreds, and the nobles, and the governors of the people, and all the people of the land, and brought down the king from the house of the LORD: and they came through the high gate into the king's house, and set the king upon the throne of the kingdom. And all the people of the land rejoiced : and the city was quiet , after that they had slain Athaliah with the sword."

II Chronicles, Chapter 23 Keyword Search


As you can see, there is no mention of "new wine" in the II Chronicles chapter and hence no indication that the alleged infinity code exists.

Since the alleged infinity code does not hold true for all values, it is proven false.

Yes, it is proven false under the parameters listed on the website.

Yes, each example shown works out, finding the exact or almost exact term.

Actually Al does in the video (using the word "ALWAYS"); he even goes to the extent of betting a steak dinner that one of the terms will show up.

The advocate's research is, by self admission, has a 10 to 20% failure rate.

Why is this simple fact not stated plainly on their website?

Since Al says "ALWAYS", all we need to do is show one case where it doesn't work. That is exactly what we have shown.

Although interesting, this is not part of the (stated) ground rules and assumptions


Since this theory was already proven wrong and yet was still being adamantly defended by the member; we chose not to respond. This would have only lead to a path that we did not want to take the member down. We know that our audience searches matters out for themselves. II Thessalonians 2:10 "and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved."
