    Ellipse LinkOne Integration Version Compatibility

The table below shows compatible versions of Ellipse and LinkOne, which support integration.

    LinkOne Version 5.3

LinkOne version 5.3 now supports silent login to Ellipse when LinkOne is launched from within Ellipse. This is the same level of service that was supported with Ellipse and LinkOne version 4.3.x., and onlyworks when LinkOne is launched from Ellipse. If LinkOne is launched independent of Ellipse, and anequipment number is specified, then LinkOne may still prompt for Ellipse credentials.

The requirements to get silent login working with Ellipse and LinkOne 5.3 are as follows:

Requires Ellipse 6.1 or 6.3 or greater Requires Middleware 4.16.63.4 or greater Requires LinkOne 5.3 or greater

Assuming the correct version of Ellipse and Middleware are installed, install LinkOne version 5.3,selecting custom install, and then selecting to install the Ellipse Integration feature. You can then testLinkOne integration by launching LinkOne from any of the following MSQ's:MSQ140, MSQ600, MSQ620, MSQ690.

If after performing the above steps, LinkOne integration works, but silent login does not work correctly,it could be because the latest version of MSALO000.DLL, which launches the parts catalogue, is notavailable. Ellipse 6.3 should already include the correct version, but earlier versions of Ellipse, such as6.1 may require a patch. At the same time, the middleware may need to be updated.

Note: Versions of Ellipse prior to 6.1 may not have had MSALO000.DLL patched yet, and a changerequest may be required.

If silent login does appear to be working, and LinkOne is being started from Ellipse, but it is not possibleto load a book, it could be that an incorrect version of Middleware is being used. Some versions ofmiddleware never correctly return control back to LinkOne to allow it to complete the book load process.
