Players to Watch: Third year starting pitcher Tim Regan is as hungary as ever to reach the world series and will do whatever it takes to get us there. New additions Chris Hawes and Chris Keller add to a starting rotation that includes returning undefeated pitcher Kevin Word. Ryan Yetter, Vince Ross, and Garrett Roualdes will lock down an outfield loaded with speed and strong arms. Thirdbaseman and web-gem machine Kevin Young will be back in action, throwing across the diamond to a platoon of power hitting firstbaseman in Kenny Kim and Clint Evans. Mr. Clutch, Tom Ulrich, will be sure to come through with timely hitting as he has done numerous times in the past.

New additions: We have added an incredible amount of talent, and as a result will see intense competition for a starting spot at every position. Garrett Roualdes, Vince Ross, Ryan Yetter, Thomas Dyer, Kenny Kim, Clint Evans, Travis Egbert, Chris Hawes, and Chris Keller, among several other additions, will be the guys to bring our program to the next level. They are the most talented class of players we have seen yet.

2008 Season Outlook: Our program has made tremendous strides over the past three years. This season marks the best team we have put together to date. We have a combination of power hitting coupled with speed on the bases and lots of pitching depth. Our outfield has improved exponentially and our defense is solid. We have a large roster with a mix of quality returning players and talented new additons. We have added three potential starters to a rotation that already returns three starters. The bullpen is deep with both righties and lefties who throw hard and hit their spots. Our offense will be a nightmare for opposoing pitchers who will have to face a lineup one through nine of guys who can hit for power and average, with speed from top to bottom. We are definitely anticipating a trip to Florida.

2008 Season Outlook: The 2008 ERAU Eagles roster returns 10 players from last years squad. With the addition of several new, talented freshman, Embry-Riddle is looking to have a sucessful seaon on the diamond. The Eagles have added depth at nearly every position, which was lacking from last years team. The addition of reserves at key postions should allow players to be more fresh for each weekend series as the season progreses.

Manager Quote: "Its nice to finally be able to field a descent size team. With increased numbers, practices are more productive and guys shouldn't be so worn out at the end of each weekend series"

2008 Season Outlook: With a completely revamped lineup, the third season for NAU should be nothing short of spectacular. Returning 2 starters from a last place team is a positive thing, with a new manager the team is looking twice as good in only one semester of being together. Putting up ten runs in an early scrimmage show an aggressive offensive attack lacking in the first two years of existance. This team is the most talented in the Southwest, do not be surprised at all when NAU boards the airplane to Fort Meyers.

Manager Quote: We are the team to beat in the Southwest Conference. We will be nothing short of perfect.

Returning team home-run leader Chase Chapman, newcomer Ryan Graf and Junior-College transfer Matt Cook add a new dimension of power to the UCSB lineup that last year showed it could already produce runs of the small-ball variety. The improved defense is anchored by all-World defensive selection Tim Monreal in center-field and local freshman product Ryan Tirador at short. Catchers James Margrave and Matt Haddad will share time behind the plate as replacements for departed team MVP Paul Zimmerman.
