Although this has been a long standing
practice in the burglar alarm industry, it
may be helpful to incorporate this text or a
reference to it within UL 639.
These standards may need to be reviewedto ensure that when arranged for a neutral
supply that a neutral bus or terminals be
provided so that the enclosure is not used
in the neutral current carrying path.
Verify that Type I has been required to be
marked based on 49.21.1 and no action is
needed. Note the 11th Edition clearly
addresses this issue.
These standards may need to be reviewed
to ensure that when arranged for a neutral
supply that a neutral bus or terminals beprovided so that the enclosure is not used
in the neutral current carrying path.

baseboard heater is provided with a
receptacle the receptacle shall be
tamperproof when the heater is installed in
a residential application.

For KEWV, KEZR and KEXS equipment
the receptacles in critical care areas will
need to have power on indicators.
This change would provide a better
defined connection point for the ground
shield for high voltage cable and we may
want to incorporate
UL 1072, Table 1.1 will need to be revised
to reflect the larger size conductors now
allowed by the NEC. Specifically, the first
row, second column needs to be revised
to allow conductors up to 2000 kcmil.
Presently, UL 1277 requirements do not
address nickel or nickel coated copper
conductors. A standards change is
needed to allow this option.

also Class 2 and Class 3 cables of the
appropriate rating.
Where a listed generator is supplied with
a disconnecting means the bonding
jumper sized according to NEC would be

integral disconnect, the disconnect isinstalled in the field and this clause
applies the field installation rather than the
generator itself. Generators provided with
integral disconnects shall have provisions
for locking the disconnect in the open
position. Possible revisions necessary to
standard.
This change helps bolster therequirements that GFCI protection for
personnel is required even for generator-
derived power.
