Sau moät naêm hoäi nhaäp neàn kinh teá theá giôùi vôùi vieäc gia nhaäp WTO, naêm 2007 Vieät Nam ñaõ giöõ vöõng ñöôïc möùc taêng tröôûng ngoaïn muïc trong nhieàu naêm lieàn, chæ soá GDP ñaït 8,5%, taêng tröôûng toaøn dieän trong haàu heát caùc lónh vöïc, cao nhaát trong 10 naêm trôû laïi ñaây, ñöôïc caùc chuyeân gia kinh teá theá giôùi ñaùnh giaù laø nöôùc coù moâi tröôøng ñaàu tö an toaøn nhaát Chaâu AÙ vaø thöù hai treân theá giôùi. Tuy nhieân, nhöõng khoù khaên cuõng song haønh toàn taïi: giaù xaêng daàu taêng chöa töøng thaáy, giaù vaøng cao nhaát trong voøng 30 naêm qua, chæ soá laïm phaùt taêng cao, thò tröôøng baát ñoäng saûn phaùt trieån noùng trong khi thò tröôøng chöùng khoaùn suy yeáu vaø chöa coù daáu hieäu hoài phuïc; doøng voán ñaàu tö nöôùc ngoaøi ñaït möùc kyû luïc gaây söùc eùp lôùn ñeán vieäc ñieàu haønh tyû giaù vaø vieäc kieåm soaùt toång phöông tieän thanh toaùn. Ngoaøi ra, Vieät Nam laø moät trong nhöõng nöôùc höùng chòu lôùn nhaát caùc taùc ñoäng töø söï bieán ñoåi moâi tröôøng, laøm aûnh höôûng lôùn tôùi söï phaùt trieån kinh teá - xaõ hoäi.Tuy nhieân, vôùi söùc treû cuûa löïc löôïng CB-NV tri thöùc vaø taâm huyeát, cuøng vôùi söï taän taâm taän löïc cuûa Ban Ñieàu haønh, söï quan taâm ñònh höôùng saâu saùt cuûa HÑQT, vôùi cô caáu môùi, ñònh höôùng môùi HDBank vaãn ñaït ñöôïc caùc chæ tieâu khaù thuyeát phuïc nhö sau:
So vôùi naêm 2006, naêm 2007 HDBank ñaõ ñaït ñöôïc haàu heát caùc chæ tieâu hoaït ñoäng maø Ñaïi hoäi coå ñoâng thöôøng nieân 2006 ñaõ ñeà ra. Cuï theå: voán ñieàu leä 500 tyû ñoàng toång taøi saûn cuûa HDBank ñaït gaàn 14.000 tyû ñoàng, taêng 244%; voán huy ñoäng ñaït 12.456 tyû ñoàng, taêng 284%; toång dö nôï ñaït 8.912 tyû ñoàng, taêng 233%; tyû leä nôï xaáu ñöôïc kieåm soaùt toát ôû möùc döôùi 0,3%/toång dö nôï; lôïi nhuaän tröôùc thueá ñaït 168 tyû ñoàng, taêng 78%; chi coå töùc naêm 2006 ñaït möùc 16%. Maïng löôùi hoaït ñoäng cuûa HDBank lieân tuïc ñöôïc môû roäng vôùi hôn 20 ñieåm treân caû nöôùc; nhaân söï ñaït 675 CB-NV. Döï aùn hieän ñaïi hoùa coâng ngheä Ngaân haøng - Core Banking ñaõ hoaøn taát vaø chôø thôøi ñieåm thích hôïp ñöa vaøo vaän haønh treân toaøn HDBank.

Hieän taïi ñang laø thôøi ñieåm maø nhöõng ngaøy cuoái cuøng cuûa naêm 2007 troâi qua vaø ñoùn chaøo naêm môùi 2008. Thò tröôøng taøi chính - tieàn teä vaãn ñang coù nhöõng dieãn bieán heát söùc baát ñònh, ñoâi khi vöôït quaù taàm kieåm soaùt cuûa caùc ngaân haøng thöông maïi: nguoàn voán vaø laõi suaát khoâng oån ñònh; laïm phaùt taêng daãn ñeán döï tröõ baét buoäc cuûa caùc TCTD taêng cao, aùp löïc caïnh tranh giöõa caùc ngaân haøng ngaøy caøng gay gaét, khuûng hoaûng thieáu veà nguoàn nhaân löïc quaûn lyù gioûi vaø coù trình ñoä chuyeân moân cao, caùc chính saùch haïn cheá cuûa nhaø nöôùc veà dö nôï cho vay chöùng khoaùn, caûnh baùo nhöõng ruûi ro tieåm aån töø thò tröôøng Ñòa oác ...
Böôùc vaøo naêm 2008, vôùi chieán löôïc “Xaây döïng HDBank trôû thaønh ngaân haøng ña naêng vaø hoaït ñoäng hieäu quaû”, HDBank ñaõ saün saøng tinh thaàn ñöông ñaàu vôùi thöû thaùch, phaûi noã löïc hôn nöõa ñeå tieáp tuïc naâng cao naêng löïc taøi chính vôùi muïc tieâu taêng voán ñieàu leä toái thieåu 2.000 tyû ñoàng, quaûng baù thöông hieäu, ña daïng hoùa caùc saûn phaåm dòch vuï treân neàn coâng ngheä hieän ñaïi, quaûn lyù theo chuaån möïc quoác teá…; taêng taøi saûn sôû höõu, naâng cao giaù trò vaø tính thanh khoaûn coå phieáu…; choïn löïa ñoái taùc chieán löôïc nhaèm taêng naêng löïc caïnh tranh, môû roäng hoaït ñoäng theo höôùng oån ñònh vaø beàn vöõng; phaùt trieån nguoàn nhaân löïc, thu huùt vaø ñaõi ngoä nhaân taøi, chuù troïng coâng taùc ñaøo taïo noäi boä nhaèm phaùt hieän nhaân toá môùi. Naêm 2008, HDBank tieáp tuïc cam keát ñaûm baûo quyeàn lôïi coå ñoâng vôùi möùc coå töùc toái thieåu 12%/naêm.
Nhieäm vuï ñaët ra cho HDBank trong naêm 2008 laø raát naëng neà. Tuy vaäy, Hoäi Ñoàng Quaûn Trò, cuøng taäp theå Caùn boä - nhaân vieân HDBank luoân tin töôûng raèng vôùi söï ñoàng thuaän cuûa Quyù vò coå ñoâng, söï quan taâm chæ ñaïo saâu saùt vaø kòp thôøi cuûa NHNN, vaø ñaëc bieät laø söï tín nhieäm, uûng hoä cuûa Quyù khaùch haøng, HDBank seõ vöôït qua moïi thaùch thöùc, tieáp tuïc vöõng böôùc treân con ñöôøng phaùt trieån, khaúng ñònh vaø naâng cao uy tín thöông hieäu HDBank treân thöông tröôøng.
Thay maët Hoäi Ñoàng Quaûn Trò, Ban Ñieàu Haønh HDBank, toâi xin göûi thoâng ñieäp naøy ñeán Quyù vò coå ñoâng, caùc ñoái taùc trong vaø ngoaøi nöôùc, Quyù khaùch haøng cuøng toaøn theå caùn boä coâng nhaân vieân nhö moät lôøi cam keát vôùi noã löïc cao nhaát ñeå cuøng xaây döïng vaø phaùt trieån HDBank leân taàm cao môùi. Naêm 2007, vôùi söùc treû cuûa löïc löôïng CB- CNV tri thöùc vaø taâm huyeát cuøng vôùi söï taän tình, taän löïc cuûa Ban Ñieàu Haønh, söï quan taâm, ñònh höôùng saâu saéc cuûa HÑQT. Vôùi cô caáu môùi, ñònh höôùng môùi ñaõ taïo ra söï thay ñoåi ngoaïn muïc theå hieän ôû caùc con soá bieát noùi nhö sau:
Lôïi nhuaän tröôùc thueá ñaït 168 tyû, taêng 78% so vôùi naêm 2006. Lôïi nhuaân roøng ñaït 121 tyû. Tyû leä chia coå töùc 16%.

Huy ñoäng voán ñoùng vai troø then choát ñaùp öùng nhu caàu voán hoaït ñoäng cuûa HDBank. Naêm 2007 toång voán huy ñoäng trong toaøn heä thoáng ñaït 12.456 tyû ñoàng, taêng 284% so vôùi naêm 2006. Ñaït ñöôïc möùc ñoä taêng tröôûng Voán huy ñoäng aán töôïng naøy laø do HDBank aùp duïng chính saùch laõi suaát linh hoaït gaén vôùi thò tröôøng, khoâng ngöøng caûi tieán, naâng cao chaát löôïng dòch vuï, môû roäng maïng löôùi giao dòch thoâng qua vieäc thaønh laäp caùc ñieåm giao dòch treân caû nöôùc, taïo thuaän lôïi cho khaùch haøng trong vieäc söû duïng caùc hoaït ñoäng dòch vuï cuûa HDBank.

Voán ñieàu leä cuûa HDBank naêm 2007 vaãn ôû möùc 500 tyû ñoàng. Vì coù söï thay ñoåi veà caùc thuû tuïc xin taêng voán ñoái vôùi caùc NHTM, vaø moät soá caùc yeáu toá khaùch quan khaùc maø HDBank chöa ñaùp öùng ñöôïc kòp thôøi. Do ñoù loä trình taêng voán ñaït 1000 tyû trong naêm 2007 cuûa HDBank ñaõ ñöôïc Ñaïi hoäi Coå ñoâng chaáp thuaän dôøi laïi ñeán thaùng 1 naêm 2008.

Treân thöïc teá, cho ñeán nay, nguoàn lôïi nhuaän cuûa HDBank töø caùc nghieäp vuï tín duïng vaãn chieám tyû troïng cao vaø HDBank vaãn chuû tröông ñaåy maïnh dö nôï cho vay. Tuy nhieân, HDBank quaùn trieät vieäc taêng tröôûng tín duïng phaûi ñi ñoâi vôùi vieäc kieåm soaùt ñöôïc ruûi ro, ngaøy caøng naâng cao chaát löôïng tín duïng. HDBank chuû ñoäng taêng cöôøng coâng taùc kieåm tra kieåm soaùt noäi boä, thöïc hieän ñuùng quy trình quy cheá ñaõ ban haønh, ñònh kyø ñaùnh giaù vaø phaân loaïi khaùch haøng. - Thöïc hieän toát vieäc phaân loaïi nôï vaø trích laäp döï phoøng ruûi ro theo quy ñònh 493 cuûa NHNN.- Sôùm ñaûm baûo yeâu caàu cuûa NHNN veà vieäc cho vay kinh doanh chöùng khoaùn. Ñeán cuoái 2007, tyû leä cho vay kinh doanh chöùng khoaùn chæ chieám 0,95% treân toång dö nôï cho vay cuûa HDBank.- Toång dö nôï naêm 2007 taêng ñeán 233% so vôùi naêm 2006, nhöng tyû leä nôï xaáu chæ chieám 0,3% treân toång dö nôï.
• Taêng tröôûng tín duïng nhöng vaãn ñaûm baûo an toaøn
Nhaèm höôùng tôùi muïc tieâu phuïc vuï toái ña nhu caàu khaùch haøng, naêm 2007 HDBank ñaõ cho ra ñôøi caùc saûn phaåm tín duïng môùi nhö: - Cho vay mua xe oâtoâ “Coâng thöùc 1%” (F1%) cho pheùp khaùch haøng vay ñeán 100% giaù trò xe vôùi laõi suaát trong haïn 1%/thaùng.- Chöông trình khuyeán maõi mang teân: “Chaøo möøng Quoác Khaùnh - Öu ñaõi cho vay” vôùi toång soá tieàn taøi trôï leân ñeán 1.500 tyû ñoàng. - Cho vay mua nhaø Phuù Myõ Höng vôùi thôøi haïn töø 25 ñeán 30 naêm.- Cho vay mua nhaø, söûa chöõa nhaø caùc ñoái töôïng coù thu nhaäp thaáp (Chöông trình ADB) do caùc Ngaân haøng Nhaät Baûn taøi trôï, cho vay taøi trôï caùc doanh nghieäp vöøa vaø nhoû (Chöông trình JBIC),…- Ngaøy 05/10/2007, HDBank ñaõ ký keát hôïp taùc vôùi khu Coâng nghieäp Long Haäu vaø Coâng ty Coå phaàn 3D ñeå taøi trôï voán cho taát caû caùc Doanh nghieäp ñaët taïi khu Coâng nghieäp Long Haäu.- HDBank cuõng ñang ñaåy maïnh vieäc hoã trôï voán cho caùc Doanh nghieäp naèm trong caùc khu Coâng nghieäp nhö: KCN Hieäp Phöôùc II (Nhaø Beø ), KCN Vieät Höông (Bình Döông), cuïm coâng nghieäp Huyeän Ñöùc Hoøa (Long An ),…- HDBank coøn môû roäng ñaàu tö vaøo caùc lónh vöïc môùi nhö: Nhaø maùy Thuûy ñieän Ñak U cuûa Coâng ty Naêng löôïng Phuù Taân, taêng cöôøng hôïp taùc vôùi caùc Ngaân haøng baïn ñeå ñoàng taøi trôï caùc döï aùn lôùn nhö: döï aùn giaøn khoan bieån 112m nöôùc (ñoàng taøi trôï vôùi Coâng ty Taøi chính daàu khí), döï aùn ñaàu tö taøu bieån chôû haøng khoâ troïng taûi 60.000 DWT (Ngaân haøng VIB - CN Saøi Goøn).

Vôùi vieäc chuù troïng taêng tyû troïng khoaûn thu phi tín duïng trong toång thu, toång thu dòch vuï phi tín duïng chieám tyû troïng khaù cao trong toång thu giuùp giaûm thieåu ruûi ro khi söû duïng ñoàng voán kinh doanh. Naêm 2007 tyû troïng naøy ñaït möùc 44% töông öùng 339 tyû ñoàng, taêng 316% so vôùi naêm 2006. Trong ñoù moät soá hoaït ñoäng mang laïi khoaûn thu vôùi möùc taêng vöôït baäc nhö: nghieäp vuï chieát khaáu, ñaàu tö traùi phieáu vaø chöùng töø coù giaù cuûa Toå chöùc tín duïng, goùp voán lieân doanh mua coå phaàn, nghieäp vuï baûo laõnh...

Naêm 2007, HDBank tieáp tuïc phaùt trieån caùc saûn phaåm dòch vuï thanh toaùn trong nöôùc vaø ngaân quyõ nhö chuyeån tieàn thanh toaùn, thu - chi hoä, chi traû löông hoä cho caùc doanh nghieäp… ñoàng thôøi naâng cao chaát löôïng phuïc vuï khaùch haøng cuûa ñoäi nguõ nhaân vieân trong toaøn heä thoáng. • Kinh doanh vaøngHoaït ñoäng kinh doanh vaøng naêm 2007 khaù hieäu quaû. Vieäc nhaäp khaåu vaøng nguyeân lieäu ñöôïc thöïc hieän toát, tranh thuû toái ña nhöõng thôøi ñieåm coù bieán ñoäng giaù trong nöôùc vaø theá giôùi. Doanh soá nhaäp khaåu vaøng nguyeân lieäu ñaït 1.750 kg. Doanh thu hoaït ñoäng kinh doanh vaøng naêm 2007 ñaït 3,6 tyû ñoàng.

Naêm 2007, nhaèm taêng cöôøng tyû troïng voán ñaàu tö sinh lôøi cao maø ñaûm baûo caùc tieâu chí an toaøn voán, HDBank ñaõ taêng 111,6 tyû ñoàng goùp voán thaønh laäp 6 doanh nghieäp môùi nhö: Coâng ty CP baûo laõnh Tín duïng, Coâng ty Quaûn lý Quyõ ñaàu tö Chöùng khoaùn, Coâng ty Coå phaàn 3D, Coâng ty Coå phaàn Haøng khoâng VIETJET, Coâng ty Coå phaàn Dòch vuï Theû, Coâng ty Coå phaàn Ñòa oác HDReal, naâng toång soá doanh nghieäp maø HDBank ñaàu tö leân 14 ñôn vò.Ngoaøi ra, HDBank coøn ký hôïp ñoàng hôïp taùc toaøn dieän vôùi Coâng ty Coå phaàn Chöùng khoaùn TP.HCM (HSC) vaø laø ñoái taùc chieán löôïc cuûa coâng ty naøy, ký hôïp ñoàng hôïp taùc vôùi Coâng ty Coå phaàn Khu Coâng Nghieäp Long Haäu.Toång soá tieàn ñaàu tö taøi chính ñaït 1.585 tyû, chieám 11,4% toång voán, taêng 13% so keá hoaïch vaø 390% so vôùi naêm 2006. Trong ñoù:Ñaàu tö traùi phieáu vaø chöùng töø coù giaù cuûa TCTD: 1.456 tyû, taêng 21% so vôùi keá hoaïch vaø 427% so vôùi naêm 2006.Huøn voán, lieân doanh, mua coå phaàn: 129 tyû, ñaït 65% keá hoaïch vaø taêng 169% keá hoaïch so vôùi naêm 2006.Hieäu quaû hoaït ñoäng ñaàu tö taøi chính: Toång doanh thu hoaït ñoäng ñaàu tö taøi chính naêm 2007 cuûa HDBank laø 128,7 tyû ñoàng, taêng 11 laàn so vôùi naêm 2006.

Naêm 2007, dòch vuï chieát khaáu taïi HDBank coù möùc taêng kyû luïc, taêng hôn 56 laàn so vôùi naêm 2006, dö nôï chieát khaáu bình quaân taêng 556 tyû ñoàng. Nghieäp vuï chieát khaáu ñaït lôïi nhuaän 44 tyû ñoàng. Caùc dòch vuï chieát khaáu maø HDBank thöïc hieän nhö: chieát khaáu soå tieát kieäm, giaáy tôø coù giaù do caùc TCTD khaùc phaùt haønh, Traùi phieáu Chính phuû, chieát khaáu boä chöùng töø haøng xuaát khaåu…
Trong naêm 2007, HDBank, ñeå naâng cao phaïm vi vaø naêng löïc hoaït ñoäng trong lónh vöïc ñòa oác, taêng cöôøng hieäu quaû toái ña, HDBank ñaõ taùi cô caáu toaøn boä Phoøng Dòch vuï Ñòa oác vaø goùp voán thaønh laäp coâng ty Coå phaàn Ñòa oác Phaùt Trieån Nhaø (HDReal) - laø coâng ty thaønh vieân cuûa HDBank.

Naêm 2007 HDBank ñaõ ñaàu tö 5 trieäu USD ñeå thöïc hieän Döï aùn hieän ñaïi hoaù coâng ngheä Ngaân haøng - Core Banking. Vaøo thôøi ñieåm keát thuùc naêm 2007, döï aùn ñaõ hoaøn taát vaø chôø thôøi ñieåm thích hôïp ñöa vaøo vaän haønh treân toaøn HDBank. Döï kieán ngay sau khi ñöa vaøo thöïc hieän, HDBank seõ trieån khai haøng loaït caùc saûn phaåm dòch vuï ngaân haøng hieän ñaïi vaø tieän ích daønh cho khaùch haøng.
Coâng ngheä hieän ñaïi cuõng seõ giuùp HDBank quaûn trò caùc hoaït ñoäng theo höôùng toái öu hoaù hieäu quaû, ñaûm baûo an toaøn döõ lieäu, hoã trôï caùc coâng taùc döï baùo vaø hoaïch ñònh hieäu quaû hôn, kieåm soaùt ruûi ro toát hôn...
Döï aùn naøy ñöôïc xem laø neàn taûng cô baûn giuùp thöïc hieän chieán löôïc xaây döïng vaø phaùt trieån HDBank trôû thaønh moät ngaân haøng ña naêng, hieän ñaïi phuïc vuï khaùch haøng ngaøy moät toát hôn, mang laïi cho khaùch haøng caùc giaù trò gia taêng ngaøy caøng lôùn hôn.

Trong thôøi gian qua, ñaëc bieät laø naêm 2007, cuøng vôùi söï phaùt trieån “buøng noå” vaø taêng tröôûng nhanh, saâu vaø roäng cuûa caùc ñònh cheá taøi chính Vieät Nam, “thò tröôøng” nhaân löïc trong lónh vöïc taøi chính - ngaân haøng heát söùc soâi ñoäng. Thöïc teá hoaït ñoäng cho thaáy, lónh vöïc taøi chính ngaân haøng ñang khuûng hoaûng thieáu toaøn dieän veà nguoàn nhaân löïc, ñaëc bieät laø ñoái vôùi nhaân löïc caáp quaûn lyù gioûi vaø coù trình ñoä cao. Khoù khaên naøy ñang laø moät trong nhöõng yeáu toá taïo ra söï phaùt trieån thieáu beàn vöõng vaø taïo ra söï caïnh tranh nhaân söï khaù quyeát lieät giöõa caùc ñònh cheá taøi chính. Nhaän ñònh ñöôïc khoù khaên treân, HDBank ñaõ xaùc ñònh möùc ñoä öu tieân haøng ñaàu ñoái vôùi chieán löôïc phaùt trieån nguoàn nhaân löïc laø xaây döïng ñöôïc caùc keá hoaïch tuyeån duïng quy moâ, ñaàu tö chính saùch thu huùt nhaân löïc cuõng nhö vieäc taøi trôï cho caùc sinh vieân caùc tröôøng ñaïi hoïc, phaùt hieän vaø ñaøo taïo nhaân toá môùi. Tính ñeán ngaøy 31 thaùng 12 naêm 2007, toång soá caùn boä nhaân vieân laø 675, taêng 68% so vôùi naêm 2006; trong ñoù toång soá caùn boä nhaân vieân coù trình ñoä Ñaïi hoïc vaø treân ñaïi hoïc laø 69%.
Veà coâng taùc ñaøo taïo, HDBank ñaõ töï ñaøo taïo cuõng nhö hôïp taùc vôùi caùc trung taâm nhö PACE, BTC, Hieäp hoäi ngaân haøng, Ñaïi hoïc kinh teá Tp.HCM, Ñaïi hoïc ngaân haøng… ñeå ñaøo taïo veà kieán thöùc veà kyõ naêng quaûn lyù cuõng nhö nghieäp vuï chuyeân moân cho 818 löôït CBNV trong 41 khoaù hoïc. Ngoaøi ra, HDBank coøn cöû 03 ñoaøn CB caáp quaûn lyù ñi hoïc taäp kinh nghieäm ôû Ngaân haøng nöôùc ngoaøi nhö Myõ, Singapore, Nhaät.
Luoân laáy “yeáu toá con ngöôøi” laøm giaù trò coát loõi ñeå phaùt trieån, HDBank luoân tin töôûng vôùi nguoàn nhaân löïc treû, naêng ñoäng, tri thöùc vaø taâm huyeát seõ ñöa HDBank phaùt trieån leân taàm cao môùi treân neàn taûng vôùi nhöõng giaù trò vöõng beàn.

Ngaøy 04/01/2008, taïi khaùch saïn Sheraton, HDBank ñaõ toå chöùc leã coâng boá bieåu töôïng môùi cuûa HDBank, taêng voán ñieàu leä leân 1.000 tyû ñoàng ñuùng vaøo ngaøy kyû nieäm 18 naêm thaønh laäp vaø phaùt trieån. Bieåu töôïng môùi chính laø quyeát taâm tieáp tuïc quaù trình ñoåi môùi toaøn dieän vaø saâu saéc dieän maïo cuûa HDBank, ñöa thöông hieäu “HDBank” trôû thaønh moät thöông hieäu vöõng maïnh, coù uy tín treân thò tröôøng taøi chính. ÑÔN GIAÛN VAØ DEÃ NHÔÙ - ñoù laø tieâu chí yù töôûng thieát keá cuûa bieåu töôïng “HDBank”!
Vôùi saéc ñaëc tröng laø hai maøu: naâu ñoû beân traùi vaø ghi baïc beân phaûi, toång theå maøu saéc logo taïo cho löïc thò giaùc coù höôùng nhìn töï nhieân töø traùi sang phaûi, taïo ra caûm giaùc logo ñang chuyeån ñoäng tieán veà phía tröôùc, qua ñoù, HDBank muoán taïo ra hình aûnh môùi cho Ngaân haøng, ñoù laø söï naêng ñoäng maø vaãn sang troïng, treû trung maø ñaày tin caäy.
Ñieåm nhaán cuûa logo chính laø maøu naâu ñoû vôùi chöõ “HD”. Naâu ñoû laø maøu cuûa ñaát - bieåu töôïng cuûa söï tröôøng toàn. Ñaây laø gam maøu maïnh, taïo aán töôïng vaø thu huùt söï chuù yù, mang yù nghóa taïo neân söï sung tuùc vaø may maén, naêng ñoäng vaø tin caäy. Ñaây cuõng laø ñieåm mang yù nghóa ñoät phaù trong vieäc ñoåi môùi heát söùc naêng ñoäng cuûa HDBank.
Maøu ghi saùng baïc cuûa chöõ “Bank” laø maøu cuûa nöôùc - laø khôûi nguoàn cuûa cuoäc soáng, laø bieåu töôïng cuûa taøi loäc vaø giaøu sang, taïo neân ñoái troïng cho söï caân ñoái vaø haøi hoøa cuûa logo. Neùt khuyeân vaùt höôùng leân cuûa chöõ “K” theå hieän yù chí vöôn leân, vaø nhö lôøi môøi khoaùng ñaït ñaày thieän chí maø HDBank traân troïng göûi ñeán khaùch haøng vaø ñoái taùc.
Vôùi boá cuïc thieát keá khaù töï do, coù hai taàng thoâng tin. Treân laø doøng chöõ vieát taét teân Ngaân haøng, döôùi laø doøng chöõ veà phöông chaâm hoaït ñoäng, caùc neùt chöõ thanh tao maø chaéc chaén, Logo HDBank taïo ra hình aûnh töôïng tröng cho söï phaùt trieån beàn vöõng vaø khoâng ngöøng. Nhö vaäy, HDBank mong muoán göûi ñeán moïi ngöôøi thoâng ñieäp veà söï ñoåi môùi, moät ngaân haøng hieän ñaïi phaùt trieån ña naêng, thaân thieän vaø côûi môû, phuø hôïp cho moïi taàng lôùp khaùch haøng. HDBank mang ñeán cho khaùch haøng caûm giaùc cuûa tieän nghi vaø sang troïng, caûm giaùc cuûa söï chu ñaùo vaø aân caàn, cuûa söï luoân luoân naêng ñoäng vaø phaùt trieån.

Naêm 2007 Coâng Ñoaøn vaø Ñoaøn Thanh Nieân HDBank ñaõ coù 1 naêm hoaït ñoäng soâi noåi vaø tích cöïc, hoaøn thaønh xuaát saéc nhieäm vuï chính trò, ngaøy moät cuûng coá vai troø noøng coát cuûa mình.
Coâng Ñoaøn HDBank ñaõ trôû thaønh choã döïa vöõng chaéc cuûa taát caû Ñoaøn vieân Coâng Ñoaøn. Ban chaáp haønh Coâng Ñoaøn luoân quan taâm, chaêm lo toaøn dieän ñôøi soáng CBNV baèng nhieàu hình thöùc nhö: toå chöùc khaùm söùc khoûe ñaày ñuû cho CBNV toaøn Ngaân haøng vaø toå chöùc thaønh coâng 2 ñôït nghæ maùt trong thaùng 8/2007 (taïi Khu du lòch Moûm Ñaù Chim-Bình Thuaän). Beân caïnh ñoù Coâng Ñoaøn coøn trích Quyõ phuùc lôïi ñeå thöôûng cho CBNV vaøo moãi dòp kyû nieäm caùc ngaøy leã: 30/4, 1/5, 2/9… Veà coâng taùc nöõ coâng, toång keát vaø phaùt thöôûng cho 102 chò ñaït danh hieäu trong phong traøo thi ñua “Phuï nöõ 2 gioûi” naêm 2006, ñoàng thôøi phaùt ñoäng tieáp phong traøo “Phuï nöõ 2 gioûi” naêm 2007, taëng quaø vaø toå chöùc kyû nieäm cho caùc chò NV nhaân ngaøy 8/3, trích Quyõ Coâng ñoaøn taëng quaø cho caùc chaùu thieáu nhi ngaøy 1/6…
Veà phong traøo noäi boä, trong quyù III/2007, Ban Chaáp Haønh Coâng Ñoaøn ñaõ toå chöùc thaønh coâng caùc giaûi theå thao nhö: Giaûi quaàn vôït HDBank cup 2007, Giaûi Karaoke truyeàn thoáng 2007, Giaûi boùng chuyeàn baõi bieån... Ngoaøi ra, vieäc phaùt trieån ñoaøn vieân Coâng ñoaøn cuõng ñöôïc quan taâm thöïc hieän: Keát naïp theâm 165 ñoaøn vieân, naâng toång soá ñoaøn vieân coâng ñoaøn leân 454 ngöôøi / toång soá 596 CBNV. Trong quyù III/2007 coù 2 caùn boä coâng ñoaøn ñöôïc nhaän Kyû nieäm chöông vì söï nghieäp coâng ñoaøn: Baø TRAÀN THÒ KIM ANH vaø OÂng LEÂ THANH TUØNG.
Khoâng chæ quan taâm chaêm lo ñôøi soáng vaät chaát vaø tinh thaàn cho CBNV cuûa Ngaân haøng, Coâng Ñoaøn cuõng raát chuù troïng ñeán caùc coâng taùc xaõ hoäi, caùc hoaït
ñoäng höôùng veà coäng ñoàng. BCH Coâng ñoaøn ñaõ uûng hoä 10.000.000 ñoàng cho chöông trình Hoäi traêng raèm thaùng 8/2007 vaø tham gia phaùt quaø cho treû em ngheøo taïi Dinh Thoáng Nhaát (ñeâm 22/09/2007 do Baùo Yeâu treû toå chöùc), phoái hôïp vôùi Ñoaøn thanh nieân cô sôû toå chöùc hieán maùu nhaân ñaïo ñôït 2, keâu goïi toaøn theå CBNV Ngaân haøng uûng hoä ñoàng baøo baõo luït phía Baéc vaø caùc tænh Mieàn Trung.
Vôùi söï noã löïc ñoù, naêm 2007 Coâng ñoaøn HDBank ñaõ ñaït ñöôïc thaønh tích xuaát saéc trong phong traøo thi ñua lao ñoäng gioûi vaø xaây döïng toå chöùc Coâng ñoaøn vöõng maïnh naêm 2007 do Toång lieân ñoaøn lao ñoäng VN coâng nhaän.
Veà hoaït ñoäng cuûa Ñoaøn thanh nieân HDBank cuõng ñaõ ñaït caùc keát quaû khaû quan.Ñoaøn thanh nieân HDBank thöïc söï laø dieãn ñaøn cuûa Ñoaøn vieân thanh nieân ñang coâng taùc taïi HDBank.
Ñoaøn ñaõ toå chöùc chuyeán daõ ngoaïi cho ñoaøn vieân thanh nieân. Thöïc hieän quyeân goùp uûng hoä chöông trình “Vì phöôøng xaõ ngheøo”, uûng hoä treû em ngheøo vaø mua veù soá gaây quyõ uûng hoä chöông trình “Vì Tröôøng Sa thaân yeâu”, cöùu trôï gia ñình naïn nhaân bò thieân tai taïi Mieàn Trung. Toå chöùc ñoùng goùp quyõ tình thöông, coâng taùc xaõ hoäi thöôøng xuyeân.
Toå chöùc giaûi boùng ñaù mini, giao löu boùng ñaù vôùi caùc ñôn vò baïn nhaèm taïo tinh thaàn ñoaøn keát, gaén boù vaø giao löu hoïc hoûi. Baùo caùo kieåm toaùn cuûa chuùng toâi ñöôïc laäp vaøo ngaøy 05 thaùng 03 naêm 2008 ñaõ ñöa ra yù kieán laø caùc baùo caùo taøi chính maø töø ñoù caùc baùo caùo taøi chính toùm taét ñöôïc laäp, ñaõ phaûn aùnh trung thöïc vaø hôïp lyù tình hình taøi chính cuûa Ngaân haøng vaøo ngaøy 31 thaùng 12 naêm 2007 vaø keát quaû hoaït ñoäng kinh doanh vaø tình hình löu chuyeån tieàn teä cho naêm taøi chính keát thuùc cuøng ngaøy theo caùc Chuaån möïc Keá toaùn vaø Heä thoáng Keá toaùn caùc Toå chöùc Tín duïng Vieät Nam vaø tuaân thuû theo caùc quy ñònh cuûa Ngaân haøng Nhaø nöôùc Vieät Nam.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
After one year of world economic integration by joining into WTO, in 2007, Vietnam obtained many fantastic achievements, GDP reached 8.5%, the highest growth in all fields for the last ten years. According to the world economic experts, Vietnam was ranked as the most safety country to investment in Asia, and as the second in the world. Along with those advantages, still existing difficulties such as the unprecedented oil price, the highest gold price for the last 30 years, high inflation rate and “hot” development of real estate market; meanwhile, the declined stock market has not fully recovered, the recorded foreign investment flow which enforced the control over the currency rate and its liquidity. Moreover, Vietnam also obtained the highest effectiveness from the environment changes, which influenced to the socioeconomic development. With the young, high educated and enthusiastic HDBank’s staff; in full support of Executive Board and in great attention of Board of Management in common with new structure and orientation, HDBank has gained the persuadable targets as follow:
In 2007, HDBank accomplished all tasks appointed by the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting 2006. The chartered capital was VND 500 billion; total assets of HDBank approx. reached VND 14,000 billion, equivalent to 244% rise; the mobilized capital gained VND 12,456 billion,with a rise of 284%; the total liabilities reached VND 8,912 billion of the 233% increase. With the good control, the bad debt was under 0.3% of total liabilities. The profit before tax was VND 168 billion equivalent to 78% rise. The dividend rate in 2006 was 16%. The HDBank’s network was continually opened over 20 business locations nationwide. The staff in total is up to 675. The technology modernization project - CORE BANKING is going to the end stage - the “GO LIVE” launch - at the right time.

2008 is coming, the finance and monetary market is extremely indefinite happening, even exceeding the commercial banks’ control, the fluctuant capital and interest sources; the high inflation is the cause of the high compulsory reserves among the credit organizations, higher and higher competition among banks, talents’ deficiency especially for the management and skilled workforce, the limited policies of the government on the liability to the securities trade, warnings potential risks of real estate market.
To the year 2008, with the defined strategy “Building HDBank to be a leading diverseand operative bank”, HDBank is well prepared to keep pace with all the challenges, taking the most efforts to enhance the financial capacity in which the focus is to increase its chartered capital to VND 2000 billion, popularizing HDBank’s brand name, diversifing the services and products based on CORE BANKING, enhancing the management in accordance with the international standard, increasing the owned assets, value and the liquidity of HDBank’s shares. Besides, it’s also vital to look for the strategic partner to upgrade the competition capacity, expanding the business performance in the tendency of stable and sustainable development, developing Human resources in conjunction with the policies of motivation and encouragement, aiming at accomplishing all training programs and development policies. In 2008, HDBank will continuously commit to ensure the shareholder interests at the minimum dividend rate of 12% per year.
The assignment of HDBank in 2008 is really challenging. Nevertheless, the Management Board and all staff have strong belief in the shareholders’ concurrence, theintensive and in-time guidance of the Vietnam State Bank, and especially in the great trust and support from customers to overcome challenges, to develop continually,to affirm and improve the HDBank’s name in the market.

In 2007, with young, high educated and enthusiastic staff as well as Executive Board’s full supports and considerable attention of Board of Management, HDBank’s operation gained great results by its new management structure, orientation and changes showed as follow:
The profit before tax reached VND 168 billion, equivalent to 178% rise compared to that of the year 2006. Net income reached over VND 121 billion. The dividend distribution rate was 16%.
Total income: 777 billion, such as Loan interest 433 billion for 55.8% of total income, Non-Credit income 339 billion (43.6%), Other incomes 5 billion (0.6%).Total Expenses: 609 billion, such as Operation expense 490 billion for 80.8% of total expenses, Management expense 81 billion (13.4%), The provision of credit losses 27 billion (4.4%), other expenses 10 billion (1.7%).

The capital mobilization played the key role to meet the capital needs of HDBank. In 2007, the total capital mobilization in HDBank’s network gained VND 12,456 billion, increase by 284% compared to 2006. This achievement was from the application of flexible interest rates in the market, service quality enhancement, network openings nationwide which made the customers satisfied and comfortable with HDBank’s services.

Due to the legal changes of chartered capital in increasing procedures to the commercial banks and other causes, HDBank’s chartered capital remained at VND 500 billion. Therefore, the roadmap to increase chartered capital to 1,000 billion in 2007 was approved to postpone to January 2008 in the Meeting of Shareholders.

The credit operation reached 56% of total income. The total outstanding debts by 31 December 2007 reached VND 8,912 billion, equivalent to 71.6% of mobilized capital, an increase of 95% of the plan and 233% rise over 2006, in which the bad debt was 0.3% for VND 27.9 billion, and the bad debt with loss possibility was VND 9.65 billion for 0.1%.

• Credit growth under good control
To maximize the customers’ needs satisfaction, in 2007, HDBank had launched out marketing programs for some of new credit services like:- The program of Loan to buy Car “F1% to extend loans 100% of the car value at the monthly interest rate of 1%”.- The promotion program named “Welcome to the National day - Loan Favor” with the total amount of support up to VND 1,500 billion.- The program to buy Phu My Hung houses termed from 25 to 30 years.- The credit program to the low income people under the ADB sponsored programs, SME projects, etc…- In addition, on 5 October 2007, HDBank had signed cooperation contracts with the Long Hau Industrial Park and 3D Corp to fund all the enterprises in Long Hau IP.- A program was promoted for the capital support to the enterprises which located in the other industrial parks. - HDBank had been also promoting credits to the enterprises located in the Industrial Parks such as the second Hiep Phuoc IP (Nha Be), Viet Huong IP (Binh Duong Province) and IP group in Duc Hoa (Long An Province)…- Some investments were also extended to new fields like the Dak U hydroelectric plant of Phu Tan Power Corp; cooperation with other banks to support to the big projects such as the 112 meter off-shore drilling platform (co-sponsored with Petroleum Finance Corp), the 60,000 DWT bulk carrier project (HDBank and VIBank - Saigon Branch).
• Other credit services
Until now, the credit services provided the main source of profit in the mainstream of business run in HDBank. However, along with the credit growth, HDBank did manage well its risk potentials and daily quality of services, also actively promoted the activities of checking, internal controlling, with strict following of issued procedures and regulations, with periodical classifying for customers.As stated in the regulation No. 493 of Vietnam State Bank, HDBank had done excellently debt classifications and the risk provisions.Also based on the regulation of Vietnam State Bank stipulated on the loan of securities business, HDBank had soon followed. At the end of the year 2007, the rate of securities business was only at 0,95% of total liabilities of HDBank.The total liabilities in 2007 increase 233% over that in 2006 with the bad debt ratio of 0,3% in the liabilities.

Together with the increase in investment capital to the non-credit accounts, the total revenue on these non-credit services occupied a high rate in the total income to prevent the loss potential on running the capital. In 2007, this rate was 44%, equivalent to VND 339 billion, a 316% rise compared to 2006. Some of the following services included to gain the marvelous achievements such as documentary discounting, bonds’ investment, valuable papers of other credit organizations, equity investments and guarantee services, etc...

• International settlementsIn 2007, HDBank has executed the whole service of international settlements through SWIFT network as the following specific report figures:- The total value reached USD 195 million, an increase of 129% beside 2006.- The total income from these services obtained VND 4.5 billion, an increase of 77% beside 2006.- 118 correspondent banks were established in most of the countries worldwide.

In 2007, HDBank continued to develop services on domestic payment and treasury service which had been always considered as the bank’s strength. These services included authorized collection - payment, money transfer, settlement services and so forth. Besides, HDBank also enhanced the customer services through friendly staff to the point of a number of customers using these services which had increased more and more as a result. The total income from domestic payment and treasury services accomplished VN 1.4 billion, marking an increase of 1.7 time over the year 2006.

• Capital deal in the interbank marketThe followings were the results of the capital deal in the interbank market of the year 2007:- The total revenue fulfilled by VND 145 billion, an increase of 174% over 2006 for 19% of the total income.- The amount of money dealed was VND 1,595 billion for 11.5% of the total capital, a 12% rise as planned and 228% increase over 2006.- Dealing capital was not only for making profit but assuring the capital source and liquidity for the whole HDBank as well. Moreover, many activities gained and promoted such as investment of valuable papers, deposit/share certificates and especially for the documentary discounting or saving books.
• Forex operationsThe revenue of Forex operations increased 242% compared to the year 2006, equivalent to VND 2.5 billion achievement. Main activities were to meet the requirements of international settlements and foreign currency adjustment.
• Gold tradingHDBank has successfully achieved huge profit with the gold trade services in 2007 through the improved gold import, and good opportunities of boosting the service of gold trading business. HDBank imported 1,750 kg for business. The total revenue was up to VND 3.6 billion.

In 2007, to promote the high profitable ratio of investment capital for the capital safety, HDBank invested VND 116.6 billion to the six new established corps such as the Credit Guarantee Corp, Security Fund Management Corp, 3D Corp, VIETJET Airlines Corp, Card Services Corp and HDReal of which raised HDBank’s members to be 14 with the HDBank’s investment.In addition, HDBank signed a cooperation contract with HSC Security Corp and became a strategic partner of HSC. Besides, the cooperation contract was signed between HDBank and Long Hau industrial Park.The total financial investment reached to 1,585 billion for 11.4% of the total capital, increasing 13% as planed and 390% higher than that of 2006, including:Investments to Government’s bonds and valuable papers of other credit institution gained to VND 1,456 billion, increasing 21% as planed and 427% higher than that of 2006.The capital contribution, investments and share dealing went up to VND 129 billion at 65% as planned and increasing to 169% over 2006. And for the result of the financial cooperation and investment activities, the total revenue in 2007 was VND 128.7 billion, 11 times higher than the year 2006.

The documentary discounting at HDBank had the recorded achievement of 56 times higher than that of 2006; an increase of the average discounting liabilities of VND 556 billion and the profit of this service went up to VND 44 billion. Documentary discounting services had been applied by HDBank on the saving books, valuable papers issued by other credit organizations, government bonds, and import - export documents and so on…
To improve the business scope and operation capacity for real estate services that aimed to maximize the efficiency, in 2007, HDBank restructured the real estate department and contributed the capital to establish the new corporation named HDReal - a member of HDBank.

In 2007, USD 5.0 million were invested in the project of modernization of the banking technology; named – Core Banking. At the end of 2007, the project has been nearly completed and was waiting to “GO LIVE” in all HDBank offices nationwide. Included in the launch; many products and services would be planned to send to the customers for their satisfactions.
The new technology will help HDBank’s management more effective and efficient in protecting sensitive data. This development also supports a more effective forecast plan with the high control ofrisk management… The investment for this project was a major step for HDBank to become a diverse and modern institution with better services to the customers.

During the last time, especially in the year 2007, the “booming” development and quick growth of the “labour” market in the financial and banking sectors had reached the peak. In reality; there was the deficiency of skilled talents in the financial markets; especially at management level. This in turn caused unstable development and increases competition among the financial institutions. For this consequence;
HDBank confirmed its first priority to be the policy for human resource development. This strategy is a part of the overall master plan drawn up for the policy implementation as well as student sponsorship programs which included finding and training programs for new staff. By 31 December 2007, HDBank staff reached 675, an increase of 68% compared to that in 2006 including 69% of the graduates and the post graduates. For T&D activities, HDBank promoted and conducted its own training courses and outsourced to 818 bank staff to the well-known training organizations such as PACE, BTC, Vietnam Banker Association, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, and the Banking University… Also included was a serie of 41 managementt and professional training courses which were available to enhance management capacity, strengthen and improve banking operation skills. In addition, 3 delegates were sent out to gain the management experiences from USA, Singapore, and Japan.

On 4 January 2008, HDBank held a grand opening ceremony to announce the new logo of HDBank and the increase of chartered capital up to VND 1.000 billion on the occasion of the 18th anniversary of HDBank establishment. The new logo expresses the determination of the continual full and intensive renovation in HDBank appearance and to raise HDBank brand name to the new level of prestige in the financial and banking market.
SIMPLE & EASY TO REMEMBER is the criteria while designing the HDBank’s logo.
With the main colors of the reddish brown on the left and the grey on the right, they will naturally attractthe human visibility from the left to the right. As a result, HDBank new logo is aimed at the dynamic, the young and the influential.
The key point of Logo is the color of reddish brown with characters “HD”. The reddish brown is the color of soil (land), aiming to the perpetuality. This is a strong line of color which creates the impression and the attraction for the meanings of property and the wealthy. This is the breakthrough period of a highly dynamic innovation from HDBank.
The bright grey of the word “BANK” is to express the color of water - not only for the start of the life but also for the meanings of good fortune and the wealth, which builds balance and harmony. The marking line in K is not only shown the high-aimed will but considered the goodwill invitation of HDBank sent to the honor customers and business partners as alike.
With the free style layout, 2 separate levels of information are included. The wording above the line is written the name of “Bank”, and the under line is the HDBank business motto which is refined and solid. HDBank’s logo creates a sustainable and everlasting image. HDBank intention is to send out a defined message about the bank to its customers - the new and the old - with good innovation, multi-functionality, friendship and warmth. Moreover, with the sense of comfort, this logo coveys the image to consolidate the heart full feeling for dynamic and the everlasting development which is also portrayed in the HDBank.

In 2007, the community and movement activities of HDBank took place ebulliently and actively to affirm the key role of the Labour Union and The Youth Union in the great fulfillment of political task and professional operation as well.
As a moral support of all members, HDBank Trade Union had paid full attention to social lives of HDBank’s staff by many activities such as organizing the health checks for all staff, holding 2 travels in August 2007. Moreover, the bonus pointed out from benefit fund made to all staff on the occasions of April 30, May 1, September 2, etc…
For the women’ activities, HDBank also rewarded to 102 women for the program named “Excellent Woman for 2 duties in 2006”, launched new program of “Excellent Woman for 2 duties in 2007”; celebrated a ceremony with presents on the woman day, offered gifts to children on the 1 June (Day of Children) withdrawn from the fund of Trade Union.
Further internal movements were also well organized, in quarter IV of 2007, the Executive Board of Trade Union successfully held the sporting movements like HDBank Tennis Cup 2007, HDBank Karaoke Vocal Contest 2007, HDBank Seaside Volleyball champion… Additionally, the member development was concerned by new admittance of 165 members which upgraded the number of members to be 454 over 596 staff. Also in quarter III of 2007, 2 members Ms. Tran Thi Kim Anh and Mr. Le Thanh Tung won the Campaign Medals for Union Achievements.
Together with care and improvement of the material and spiritual conditions to the staff, the Trade
Union and the Youth Union paid great attentions to the social and community activities by supporting of VND 10,000,000 to the Full Moon Festival in August of 2007, delivering gifts and fund raising to the poor and street children at Reunification Palace organized by YEU TRE magazine on 22 September 2007, holding the Second Humanitarian Blood Donors’ day, donating to the People in Flood areas in the North and Middle regions.
With the above-mentioned achievements, HDBank’s communities were honorably conferred awards for Great Performance and Well-built Trade Union in 2007 by Vietnam General Trade Union.
In HDBank, Youth Union’s activities also gained satisfactory results. The Youth Union is really a forum for all the members in HDBank.
The following activities were also well organized by The Youth Union such as the donation to the “For the Poor Wards”; to the poor children and the lucky lottery servicing program to the “For Loveful Truong Sa Island”, the “Relief to victims of the natural Calamity in the Middle of Vietnam”, the “Funding program for the Love” and many other social activities.
Besides, the mini soccer champions, the exchange soccer program with other organizations were successfully held to recreate unity, close and friendship. To have the happiness and study exchanges among members, the Youth Union created a Seaside fashion contest in the travels.Moreover, the full moon festival was organized to deliver gifts the handicapped children at the District 4 Nursing Center for the Handicapped.
