February 1910 was when my great grandfather Elias Bryan opened the familyʼs fi rst barbecue res-taurant in Oak Cliff. A generation later the tradition continued with Great Uncle Red Bryan and Grand-mother Harris. The third generation proprietors, Cousin Sonny and my father David Bryan Harris added their names to our family barbecuing business. Now, I, Jimmy Harris am the fourth generation to continue our family tradition. David Bryan Harris opened Red Bryanʼs Bar-becue in 1965 on N. Collins St. in Arlington. In 1988, after a 3-year sabbatical our family restaurant reopened as Davidʼs Barbecue on West Park Row in pantego. When dad was elected Constable Precinct 2, I purchased the business and became sole propri-etor in 1992. I am proud to be the 4th generation serving au-thentic Texas barbecue. So yaʼll come by for a visit, we look forward to serving you.

Come enjoy our fun and friendly atmosphere and try the
“Original” Irish Nachos, “they’re what we’re famous for.” After 3 pm, select appetizers are only
$4.99, and don’t forget, anyone can enjoy our UTA special all day, everyday.
This funky bar and restaurant adds some class to the Arlington area. Overlook the lopsided strands of leftover dangling Christmas lights and the torn, long-forgotten fliers on the walls and get to what J. Gilligan’s has become famous for: Irish nachos. Sliced potatoes take the place of crisp chips and get smothered with cheeses, tomato, onions, jalapenos and sour cream. Sandwich specials and entrees are also on the menu, but that hot plate of taters is the claim to fame. The “Draft House” looks like a converted garage with a patio, complete with an overhead garage door. Drinks are cold and cheap, and the bar staff is quick to serve you with an Irish brew and a few puns to keep you in good spirits. -- Barb Boody “AOL City Guide”

is palms sweat like a leaky shower faucet. Hisheart raced a mile a minute. His mind was scram-bled with thoughts of doubt and confusion, but heknew he was making the right decision.
The next question that Dustin Carr, 21, of White House,Tenn., would ask his girlfriend would change the rest of theirlives forever.
“Are you nervous?” Carr asked his girlfriend Aubrey White,a senior from Greenbrier, Tenn.
“Should I be?” she asked, getting into his white DodgeRam.
The duo were on their way to celebrate their four-yearanniversary. Carr planned a romantic evening of taking Whiteto Ruth Chris, a trendy restaurant in downtown Nashville. Healso reserved a room at Opryland Hotel.
White and Carr arrived at their hotel suite before goingdowntown. White said she gave Carr his present in the hotelroom — a card, bracelet, shirt and tie.
“I’ll give you your present later,” Carr said.
