Background on Authorware
Authorware is a mature, industry defining product used for creating, producing and distributing enterprise-wide elearning courseware.
Enterprises with complex training needs and an extended supply chain depend on Authorware as a part of the learning and development infrastructure
Demand for the product has dropped steadily for the past several years. Adobe announced the end of development of Authorware on August 3rd 2007

Impact and Result
We underestimated the impact of our EOD decision on our large enterprise customers.
We also underestimated the ongoing need for file format conversion, migration advisement, enablement and support, thus affecting the businesses of the developer community.
