UWG’s RACP:
• Rig Assembled Conductor Platform• Provides an offshore minimal facilities
installation
– 200 tonne total topside weight
• Metocean conditions constrained
– Installed in 20m water depth, 30m
designs prepared
• Avoids the use of heavy lift offshore crane
barge
– Can improve project logistics
• Uses a standard self-elevating MODU

Installation
• UWG designed, manufactured and
installed the first RACP offshore Angola,
Morsa West location
• Commenced conceptual engineering Jan
2005
• Installation successfully completed (Dec.2005)
• No safety incidents
• 5 wells, 17m / 56ft MSL
• Topside structure 55T, manifold 11T
• ABS Certified class *A1 (offshore
hydrocarbon producing station)

conductor to depth
3. Marine lift the Subsea Template
and suspend beneath MODU
port cantilever.

4. Transfer Template to temporary
suspension beneath rotary table and
connect DP running tool. Capturefirst Conductor and run to mudline

5. Drill the top hole and install
the remaining Conductors.
Machine cut the tops of
the conductors.
6. Jack up the MODU and transfer the
Topside module into position above
the conductors

7. Lower the Topside module and capture the
Conductors with the capture cones
8. Land the Topside
module on the no-go
rings. Make up
clamps etc.
