compacted selected hardcore
SVP boxing to be filled with
glassfibre insulation quilt and
finished with 12.5mm
Soundbloc platerboard.
New walls to comprise 100mm facing
bricks, 50mm clear cavity, 50mm
Kingspan Kooltherm K8 insulation with
100mm medium density blockwork giving
U-value of 0.27W/mĮ ÁK.
All structural steel beams to be
encased with 2 layers 12.5mm pbd and
skim to provide 1hr fire resistance.
Use Sandtoft 20/20 tiles on sarking felt on
18mm sarking board with 75mm Kingspan
Kooltherm K7 between rafters maintaining
50mm ventilation space between insulation
and underside of sarking board. Rafters to
be battened out to accommodate insulation
and finished with 62.5mm Kooltherm K18
insulated plasterboard providing a U-Value
of 0.18W/mĮK.
