Making a Template for Specialty Windows

NOTE: Flat fee template making service available online. For more information, go to SWFConnect.com.

Tape butcher paper or heavy brown wrapping paper over the window opening allowing plenty of overlap.

1. Being careful not to press against the template paper while tracing, draw an exact outline of the window opening. Pressing on the template paper may distort the paper and cause the wrong size to be made.

2. Remove the paper from the window opening. If the shade is an outside mount, add the desired amount of overlap to the window outline. Draw a second outline around it to match the shape of the finished shade. Be sure to erase the inside line.

3. Mark the dimensions on the template. Check that the template dimensions match your measurements of the actual window opening. NOTE: Make sure the template is of the window opening, not the measurement

of the glass only. 4. Cut the shape from the paper. 5. PLACE THE TEMPLATE BACK INTO THE WINDOW OPENING TO CHECK

FOR PROPER FIT.6. Indicate on the template:

Cellular shades effectively block ultraviolet (UV) rays. Over-exposure to the sun's UV rays can damage furnishings, wood floors, draperies, carpeting, and artwork. The Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating system measures the UV protection provided by the fabric.

UPF RatingThe UPF rating system measures the UV protection, both UVA and UVB provided by fabric. It is very similar to the SPF rating system used for sunscreens. UPF ratings range from 15 (good) to 50+ (excellent). Shade with a UPF of 50 blocks 99% of the UV radiation.

Cellular shades are easy to keep looking fresh and new for years. Regular dusting with a dusting cloth is recommended. When necessary, fabric can be lightly vacuumed with a brush attachment.

If the cellular shades become soiled with topical dirt (i.e., dirt that is resting on the surface of the fabric), we recommend that the shade be spot cleaned using a soft rag or sponge, with a mild detergent, and warm water. Do not use strong detergents or spot removers. Extra care should be used when cleaning Columba fabric as the fabric could be permanently creased.

Dry cleaning is not recommended and is not covered by warranty.

Professional blind cleaners use a variety of methods to clean blinds and vary in their capabilities. While Springs Window Fashions knows that many of our window treatments can be safely cleaned using the appropriate ultrasonic or injection/extraction cleaning methods we cannot guarantee the outcome of any cleaning services provided by an independent company.

BUDGET BLINDS EXCLUSIVE FIVE-YEAR “NO QUESTIONS ASKED” LIMITED WARRANTYAND LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY PROGRAM

This limited warranty program is available to consumers who purchase Signature Series by Budget Blinds products, other than shutters and exterior solar shades, through participating Budget Blinds retail franchises after November 14, 2005.

FIVE-YEAR “NO QUESTIONS ASKED” LIMITED WARRANTYOUR OBLIGATION TO YOU:

If, FOR ANY REASON, within five years from the date of purchase, your product should be damaged or become inoperable after the point of installation, the manufacturer will provide a “no questions asked,” ONE-TIME repair or replacement (at our discretion), free of charge. If your product is replaced, the replacement will be of the same product in the same size and color. If color is no longer available, replacement will be of closest equivalent color. This warranty is provided to the original purchaser only and for the original window opening only. Applies only to products made or assembled exclusively from the manufacturer’s materials and components.

LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTYOUR OBLIGATION TO YOU:

The manufacturer warrants your Signature Series product by Budget Blinds will be free from original defects in materials or workmanship for as long as the original purchaser owns the product. Under the Limited Lifetime Warranty, the obligations of the manufacturer are limited to the repair or replacement of parts or product found to be defective. The manufacturer is not responsible for shipping costs or labor costs for measuring and taking the shade down or reinstalling the product. If repairs are made under this warranty, the repairs will be made with like or similar parts.

Motorization components and accessories have a five-year limited warranty, excluding batteries.

This warranty does not cover materials or components not sourced by the manufacturer, or conditions or damages caused by accidents, alterations, misuse, or failure to follow instructions for measurement, installation, cleaning or maintenance. In addition, normal wear and tear are not covered

by the Limited Lifetime Warranty. All materials can lose original color intensity or discolor after long exposure to the sun. When left for extended periods in direct sunlight, some materials may yellow or crack. Some materials may warp in high humidity areas. All cords will eventually wear out. The manufacturer considers these normal wear and tear not covered by this warranty.

1-877-675-0089 and advise them of the nature of the issue. Customer service will provide you with information as to how to proceed.

2. Please remember, product returned for warranty claims must be accompanied by the original sales receipt, as well as written details regarding the nature of the problem, location of the product, etc.
