Day 2 Reykjavik

Breakfast at Hotel. Today we proceed to Half day City Tour of Reykjavik. Visit the presidential residence at Bessastaðirand the town of Hafnarfjörður, which is said to be home of the ‘hidden people’ – elves, dwarves and other spirits who aresaid to live in entire families between the rocks that are dotted around the town centre. This tour will also take you in thetown’s old fishing harbour. Then proceed to viewing platform at Perlan, one of the most memorable sights from thecapital. It is built on several hot water tanks, which used to hold the city’s hot water supply. From here, you’ll be able toenjoy a spectacular view over Reykjavík. See the Hallgrímskirkja church, named after a national poet and clergyman. Itsdesign is said to resemble lava flow, a key part of the Icelandic landscape. The church took 38 years to complete andtoday is one of the city’s best-known landmarks and a fantastic observation point. The church is in the old town centre,which you will also be able to take in, alongside the Icelandic parliament Alþingi and the town hall. The Parliament is oneof the oldest parliamentary institutions in the world, founded in 930 in the ‘Parliament Plains’, 45km east of Reykjavík.Later we return to Reykjavik and some time to explore the area. Day 3 Reykjavik

Breakfast at Hotel. Today we proceed to The Blue Lagoon and Golden Circle Tour. This tour takes you takes you toIceland's top sightseeing attractions - the Blue Lagoon, Thingvellir National Park, Gullfoss waterfall and Geysirgeothermal area in one day. We travel to the Blue Lagoon, a unique geothermal spa situated in a lava field south ofReykjavík. Once there you can walk and take in the Blue Lagoon's spectacular surroundings or bathe in the milky blue-green water which originates 2,000m from under the earth. From the Blue Lagoon the tour heads back to Reykjavík tojoin the Golden Circle. We start with a visit to Þingvellir National Park where the Icelandic parliament Alþingi was foundedin the year 930 AD. The site was used for Parliament gatherings up until the 20th century, and the area is renowned forits historical significance and geological wonders. From there the tour moves on to the majestic and beautiful Gullfossglacial waterfall and the Geysir geothermal area before returning to Reykjavik via the Hellisheiði route. Return to thehotel. This whale watching tour takes you sailing fromReykjavík out to Faxaflói bay which is home of variety of whales, dolphins, porpoise and other marine life. The local birdlife is also diverse, including such birds as the Puffin, Arctic tern, Gannet and many species of gulls. After the tour youcan explore the Whale Exhibition Centre where you can find out more about the mysteries of the ocean. It is situated inan old Capelin-fishing vessel “Fífill” which has been transformed into an exhibition and information centre on whales andsea birds. Explore the beautiful Scottish Highlands,discover majestic Urquhart Castle and take a monster cruise on Loch Ness. We leave Edinburgh behind we headtowards Stirling with its ancient castle then stop for morning coffee stop at Kilmahog. Next it's Rob Roy Country anddramatic Rannoch Moor before arriving at the Weeping Glen - Glen Coe, the infamous site of the 1692 Massacre of theresident MacDonalds by Government troops of the Campbell Clan. After a short drive we arrive at Fort William which sitsin the shadow of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. After time for lunch there's a photo stop at Spean Bridge beforewe enter the scenic beauty of the famous Great Glen, a landscape of soaring mountains and shimmering lochs. Ourjourney follows the route of the Caledonian Canal to Loch Ness and the impressive ruins of Urquhart Castle. The Castleprovides a superb vantage point to see the deepest part of the loch. The great abbey ofDunfermline (optional) was founded in the 11th century by Queen Margaret and the foundations of the original building lieunder the stunning 12th century Romanesque style nave. The Abbey Church is the last resting place of many Scottishkings and queens including the great freedom fighter Robert the Bruce..We continue our tour through beautiful GlenDevon and pass the famous Gleneagles Hotel, the venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup. The attractive spa town of Crieff is thelocation of quaint Glenturret Malt Whisky Distillery (optional), the home of the Famous Grouse. You can get a behind-the-scenes tour of the distillery with an opportunity for a tasting and visit to the shop, a must for any whisky connoisseur.Select a tasty dish from the lunch menu in the restaurant or take a stroll in the distillery’s extensive grounds. Next weventure into the Highlands taking the picturesque route through the "Sma Glen” and Strathbaan. Breakfast at Hotel. Today we will embark on a Boat tour to Kangeq. Kangeq is a former settlement in the Sermersooqmunicipality of southwestern Greenland. It was a traditional fishing village, abandoned in the 1980s. This tour starts fromNuuk city and takes approximately 1 hour to travel by boat to Kangeq. The famous artist Aron (1882-1869) was born andlived in kangeq. He was a sealer and painter and is famous for his descriptions of Greenland’s culture and people as wellas his illustrations of Greenlandic myths and stories. It is quite an experience walking around this small abandoned ghosttown. In comparison with the abandoned settlement of Qoornoq, this small settlement is not really used by anyone today.Therefore it is almost like a museum that provides insights into the consequences of the politics in the 1950s and 1960swhere inhabitants were forced to leave their homes and settle in the “big” and noisy cities. Only fewplaces in Greenland are as beautiful as the Eqi Glacier, which ends in the fiord 80 kilometres north of Ilulissat. Theexcursion to the Eqi Sermia glacier gives you the opportunity to get very close to the inland ice and to see the calvingphenomenon. The boat journey to the glacier depends on the boat and the weather and sea conditions but it'sapproximately 3/4 hours. At the glacier the boat stops approx 500 metres from it and there you will have 1 hour to admirethe calving while drinking a cup of coffee. Lunch will also be served. What's Included in Tour Price

Hotel Accommodation: Prices per person are based on minimum 2 people travelling together.

Breakfast will be Continental in most hotels and Buffet in some hotels.. Normally for a Silver Category it will be fullbreakfast except in London where it will be Continental Breakfast.

All airport or train station or port transfers in every city will be on Private Basis.

All included train travel will be in Standard Class and air travel will be in Economy Class normally on Budget Carriers. ForAir travel on Budget Carriers only 1 Piece of checked in baggage of 15kg will be permitted on your flights. AdditionalBaggage or additional weight will be charged at the airport. Cruise will be based on Inside or Outside Cabins (2 to aCabin) as mentioned in the program.

All Sightseeing tours are on Seat in Coach Basis and in most cities you will have to go to the departure point. In somecities you will be picked up from your hotel or the nearest pick up point.

When booking triple rooms please note that the third bed is based on sharing the existing bedding (two beds) in a twin-bedded standard room or maybe a "roll-away" bed. Availability of triple rooms is limited. Substitute hotels may be used atcertain times and will be of similar standard whenever possible. What's Not Included in the Tour Price

Air fares to and from Europe, airport taxes, passport and visa fees, insurance, city taxes at hotels, laundry, phone calls,beverages, meals not detailed in the itinerary, tips to motor-coach drivers and local city guides, items of a personalnature, excess baggage, optional excursions.

Reservations and Payments

All reservations are to be booked in advance. In case any reservation is booked less than 30 days in advance wemight have to charge a surcharge in case due to the difference in train and airfare within Europe.

All reservations once confirmed must be paid a deposit of 25% of the total tour fare within 5 days ofreservations if booked earlier than 45days prior to arrival date.

Balance payment for the tour must be paid at least 45days in prior to arrival date. In the event full payment is notreceived 45days prior arrival we reserve the right to charge a surcharge for additional train or airfares if any inthe reservations.

If reservations are done less than 45days in advance than once reservations is confirmed we require full payment within3 days of reservations. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation and apply cancellation charges should payments not be received withinthe above specified periods.

Any special meal requirements will be made on a REQUEST basis only. We cannot GUARANTEE special meal requestsnor will it assume any responsibility or liability if passengers' special meal requests are not fulfilled.

Travel Documents

Travel documents, including any air tickets and instructions for joining your tour in Europe will be sent to youapproximately 7 days prior to tour departure provided full payment has been received. If you're leaving home earlier, askyour Travel Agent to request travel documents in good time.

Cancellations, Refunds and Booking Changes

Notice of cancellation must be made in writing either by email or fax directly to us . A fee of Euro 50 per person will becharged for any revision or alteration made to a reservation after the booking is confirmed unless the change increasesthe value of the booking. A change of tour date or tour itinerary within 21 days of tour departure will be treated as acancellation, and normal cancellation fees will apply except when the change is to an earlier tour departure of equivalentor greater value in which case a Euro 30 per person amendment fee will be charged. The following scale of charges willapply when notice of cancellation is given after the booking is confirmed.

The Operators shall be responsible to the passenger for supplying the services and accommodations described in thisprogram, except where such services cannot be supplied or the itinerary used is changed due to delays or other causesof whatever kind or nature beyond the control of the Operators. In such circumstances, the Operators will do their best tosupply comparable services, accommodations and itineraries and there shall be no refund in this connection.

This program represents the entire agreement between the passenger and the above mentioned Operators.

In the absence of their own negligence, neither the Operators nor their agents or co-operating organizations shall beresponsible for any cancellations, delays, diversions or substitution of equipment or any act or omission whatsoever byair carriers, hotels, transportation companies, or any other persons providing any of the services and accommodations topassengers including any results thereof, such as changes in services or accommodations necessitated by same. Norshall they be liable for injury, illness or death, or for any damages or claims whatsoever arising from loss, negligence ordelay from the act, error, or negligence of any person not their direct employee or under their exclusive control. Allbaggage and personal belongings are at all times at the passenger's own risk. Baggage Insurance is recommended. Thecarriers, hotels and other suppliers who provide services on tour are independent contractors; they are not agents,employees or servants of the Operators or their associated companies. The Operators are not responsible for anycriminal conduct by third parties.

Where the passenger occupies a motor coach seat fitted with a safety belt, neither the Operators nor their agents or co-operating organizations will be liable for any injury, illness or death or for any damages or claims whatsoever arising fromany accident or incident, if the safety belt is not being worn at the time of such accident or incident.

Transportation companies, airlines etc. are not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the timepassengers are not on board planes, transportation or conveyances. The passenger contracts in use by the airlines ortransportation companies when used shall constitute the sole contract between the airline, transportation company andpassenger or purchaser of this tour and the Operators assume no responsibility in this connection. Enrolment in andpayment for a tour shall constitute agreement and acceptance by the passenger of the terms and conditions set forth inthis program which cannot be varied except in writing by an officer of the Company. All matters arising are subject toEnglish law.
