WHY DID THE BATTLE OCCUR?
Stonewall Jackson lead the army of Northern Virginia to attack Washington D.C. and where met in the middle at Bull Run. He was met by the army of the potomac.
What happened?It was Robert E. Lee’s most brilliant campaign . Lincoln commanded the Union back up North, two days later Lincoln summoned Gen. Henry W. Halleck.
