Analyzing an IssueTechnology, while apparently aimed to simplify our lives, only makes our lives more complicated.Write a response in which you discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the statement and explain your reasoning for the position you take. In developing and supporting your position, you should consider ways in which the statement might or might not hold true and explain how these considerations shape your position.

The introduction of technology has mainly changed the way man lives his life from the old mechanical way to an advanced and better state and this judgment can only be made from one's experience.

There has been a paradigm shift from the taditional means of communication, with letter physically move from one place to the other, besides the time it took to deliver, to the current technological advancements with emails and skypes that facilitate instant communication in all spheres of life. This is being appreciated more by the military, when on battlefield and on their normal course of action, as well as socially the families that are able to connect with their loved not necesarily physically going to the places whee they are.

Further more, the ease of life as a result of technological advancement can be seen the the printing and publishing side. Unlike the old time where there were no quick means of having large mamterial of data/information on sized papers and kindle reading, today all these are optionally available to users and can customized depending on one's taste and preference.

Further still, it is due to technology that transoprtation, both persons and cargo, has incredibly improved. Today, one can fly accross the Antlantic in a couple of hours unlike the old times that imagined this impossible and the gradual shifts the seen boats the Titanic that would take days, if not months, to get through. This has effectively improved people's live more especially easing the way to do business between continents.

On the other hand, the availability of the technology can be perceived to have caused man to over relax at the disposal of this facility, say the easily available information online, thus not using his creative mind to find solutions. For example students have always reached into google for simple solutions that would, otherwise, have been solved by the application of mind. But still, it takes a creative mind to navigate through the internet to generate the right results given the enormous amount of information offered by a number of search engines.

In a nutshell, it is more than clear that the introduction of technology has improved man's life with the new and easily reachable ways of communication, transportation, sharing information through books and doing business, regardless of what a few people might hold as a side effect.

Analyzing an ArgumentSuperCorp recently moved its headquarters to Corporateville. The recent surge in the number of homeowners in Corporateville proves that Corporateville is a superior place to live than Middlesburg, the home of SuperCorp's current headquarters. Moreover, Middleburg is a predominately urban area and according to an employee survey, SuperCorp has determined that its workers prefer to live in an area that is not urban. Finally, Corporateville has lower taxes than Middlesburg, making it not only a safer place to work but also a cheaper one. Therefore, Supercorp clearly made the best decision.Write a response in which you examine the stated and/or unstated assumptions of the argument. Be sure to explain how the argument depends on the assumptions and what the implications are if the assumptions prove unwarranted.

The argument sound flawed in its primary stages the story by assuming that the recent surge of homeowners in Corporateville proves that the Corporateville to be a superior place to live than Middleburg. There is no clear correlation between the SuperCorp's move of its headquarters and the surge of homeowners. The assumption could have sounded better if the author was able to demonstrated whether the homeonwers are renting their homes to the staff of the newly moved-in company.

Secondly, the source of the assertion that Middleburg is a predominantly urban area is not clearly justified, it may inferred that it was from the survey, which also does not even communicate the number of people interviewed versus the general population, besides the absence of the method used for the survey. This survey clearly states that SuperCorp has determined that its workers prefer to live in an area that is not urban. Again we have no clue from the argument on the scope and figures on the suvery. What if not even a quarter of the staff was covered by the survey to come up with this judgemnet? It will be completely misleading and flawed.

The final point of Corporateville's lower taxes that Middleburg thus both a safer and cheaper place would only work if there were no other towns ever that could serve as an alternative. There certainly are other places which are not addressed in the argument yet could be even much better than Corporate ville. The fact that they have compared only two place and silent on all other makes this conclusion doubtable.

And interestingly, with all the flaws from the given reasons above, the author concludes that Supercorp's decion to move was best. This certainly isn't, unless all the above factors have been thoroughly addressed otherwise Supercorp could have decided to either keep in Corporateville or move the facility to a different place. The aurgument would be in a better sense of convincing if the doubts presented on almost every basis of the claim has been addressed otherwise there are lots of loopholes to trust the relevancy of the decision.
