Geocoding of projects facil itates the monitoring of aid flows, the evaluation of effectiveness and the reduction of ineffi ciencies.
AidData helps make information on development finance more functional through geocoding – the tagging of projects and activities with precise geographic information, which allows for dynamic maps and further in-depth analysis based on where project activities are taking place. Geocoding facil itates the efforts of stakeholders to monitor where aid flows are going, evaluate effectiveness and reduce ineffi ciencies. AidData’s geocoding methodology has become a global standard, adopted by the International Aid Transparency Initiative.
