2 Music 2018-2019 YEARBOOK & RECORD BOOK Minnesota State High School League

The Prior Lake marching band performed during halftime of the Class AAAAAA title game in Prep Bowl XXXVII.

The League sponsors section musiccontests for both Class A and

Class AA schools. Participating schoolshave the opportunity to take part inboth large group and solo/ensemblecontests conducted by individual sec-tions. There are 70 music events inwhich students may participate as amember of their high school choirand/or band and orchestra.

Approximately 80 percent of Leaguemember schools are represented by atleast one entry at the section contests.Listed below are those large group per-formers who earned a Superior rating in2019. They are grouped in three cate-gories with the section of music deter-mining the category in which the groupperformed. Category refers to difficultyand the lower the category number indi-cates more difficult music.
